I'm packing up and moving to the clouds as I'm writing this...

csveloz | Sept. 22, 2013 | Review of BioShock Infinite (NA)

This has got to be one of the most creative and well told stories in a game. I have admit, I am not the smartest person in the world and I was having some problems making sense of things at first but once I beat the game all the little hints and subtleties started to make so much sense. It made me want to play the game immdeitately after I had beaten it. I wanted to see what bits of story I had missed and relive the entire experience again. Graphically this game looks amazing. They may not be photorealistic cutting edge graphics but the art style and design is second to none. It makes you feel like a floating city in the sky is actually doable. I will admit, I did have some annoying issues with the game stuttering when I would walk to different areas or around a corner but after I adjusted the GPU VRAM pool in the config file things ran much smoother. It was set to just 256MB which is probably from the consoles but textures at 1080P fill that buffer up quick so upping it to 2GB did wonders for my perrmance. I honestly feel this is the best bioshock game in the series. You may not be fighting big daddies and splicers but you get to fight a giant robotic George Washington wielding a mini gun! This game is a must have especially if you enjoyed the rest of the bioshock series. So go on, give greenmangaming your money and play it already!

Not what I was expecting...

csveloz | Sept. 22, 2013 | Review of Spec Ops: The Line

I got this game bundled with some other games and I had no idea what it was. I honestly had never heard of it so I assumed it was some mindless shooter with little to no story. I was right about the mindless part, but isn't that why we play these games in the first place? Some mindless innocent killing in the digital world to escape reality for a couple hours. Anyways, the story in this game was very surprising and in a food way. And it definitely helped that the voice actor who did Nathan Drake in the uncharted series voices the main character in this game which is top notch voice work in my opinion. The gun mechanics are smooth and fun, kind of gears of warish but without the meat heads with legs like tree trunks. And the sand use of sand in combat never gets old even though it is pretty scripted and you aren't able t make use of it at will. But again the story is the main draw in this game. Even though it may not be the most complex it definitely made me feel like my actions had consequences. This game is honestly one of the best games I have played and I plan on beating it again just so I can try and make things turn out differently. You owe it to yourself to give this game a chance.

BOOM HEADSHOT!!!

csveloz | Sept. 16, 2013 | Review of Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army

That's what you will be saying every time you land a headshot and the awesome X-Ray, slow mo, bullet cam lets you see the bullet penetrate the skull of each zombie with mesmerizing beauty! This is basically a shooting range on steroids and I love it. Sometimes you just need some mindless fun and it only gets better when you add friends to the mix. When I purchased this game I had just made the switch to PC and this helped me tune my aim with the mouse and keyboard. I only paid about $10 for this game and it has given me numerous hours of entertainment. So if you are on the fence about this game stop being a cheap SOB and buy this already!
