bit short, very immersive gamedefic | Aug. 14, 2011 | Review of Mafia II - PC
Mafia 2 is great game with tight story. Even if it has open world, don't assume it being anything like GTA's free roaming. That is in good meaning too. You don't get bored since next mission/event is always waiting for you. There is slower paced peaceful scenes and then there are faster adrealine loaded scenes. You really feel like being in the forties-sixties too. The cars, the music, the people, the main character, all of them feels very authentic. The game is bit short and it lacks replayability but if you can get it cheap, I strongly recommend you to buy it
Polished game to the enddefic | Aug. 13, 2011 | Review of Super Meat Boy - PC
This is one of the hardest games I have played. And because of that, it is most rewarding as well. First world just introduces the gameplay to you, but when you get to see the second world you realize that the levels are just getting more difficult. And more rewarding of course. Sometimes it takes over an hour just to complete one level and oh boys you will feel yourself frustrated, angry, stupid to even try that level and so on. But finishing that level reliefes you and makes you happy. And you continue to the next level. The graphics are very retro and funny. The soundtrack is one of the best soundtracks in games and you might just find yourself listening to the music even when not playing the game. The gameplay is very polished and simple: levels are short, mostly under 1minute or 30 seconds, but they take many tries but failing doesnt stop you trying since it takes so little time. game mechanics is easy to learn but hard to master. Controls are easy and I think that there is only 4 buttons. And I too recommend xbox360 pad and couch to sit on. The length of the game: I have played it 26 hours (according to steam) and I have finished most light world levels with A+ and bandages. Dark world is almost untouched, so there is plenty of playing still left. Also they released level editor so you can do your own levels. You would think that I would give 100 points, well your wrong. I'm not going to give 100 points to a game which makes me angry, frustrated, mad, basket case...
