Super Meat Boy is awesome!eplymale3043 | May 31, 2013 | Review of Super Meat Boy
I had been watching this game for a bit on Xbox Live Arcade, but hesitated to buy it because I'm mainly a cinematic action gamer, and FPS gamer. However, I made a realization that lately I've been enjoying the smaller more arcadey games. They are easier to pick up and play when I get time now that I'm busy with work and family. So, you could say, SUPER MEAT BOY SAVED MY FAMILY.
No more do I have to spend $60+ on a game that I only play twice! NO MORE, do I have to be slave to hour long cutscenes. SUPER MEAT BOY SAVED MY LIFE.
Get in. Die 249 times. FINALLY reach the end. Win. This game is frustrating, satisfying, aggravating, relaxing, funny, sad, high protein and low fat.
Do yourself a favor, and get Super Meat Boy in some form or another. WHY NOT THIS VERSION? It has things in it which look neat.
Sleeper Game.eplymale3043 | May 31, 2013 | Review of Dishonored Nexway -
When I first saw the trailer of this game I knew I was in for a ride. this GAME IS AMAZING. I play it on my xbox and I have nothing bad to say about this. The game is smooth with such a style of game play that almost leaves you holding your very breath, This is a must have for anyone who enjoys games like bioshock or any assassins creed games. I got my copy at game stop but what really matters is how awesome the game plays. The creepy mixed with the vivid make it a game that you can play over and over again. I enjoy playing it without killing anyone. I beat the game, and now I am doing going to kill everyone and see what happens. It's just so amazing the way the games course changes and I knew when I pre-ordered it I was in for a sweet ride in the rat infested city with all the cool new steam punk theme mixed with a Satanic vibe. fps/AC feel to it makes for a game I will never get rid of. If you enjoy creepy games mixed with a lot of thinking this is the one. The gore is cranked up to 11 on this Rats that you can summon and just awesome kills in the most creative ways possible. I told all my friends about this while they are all playing borderlands 2, as am I cause that game is awesome as well. If you enjoy hide and seek style combat along with the chance to kill everything via supernatural and man made methods this is the game. The fact that you can get into places by possession of a rat or fish or human stop time in order to kill people with a razor wire trap, means this list of ways to kill is ridiculousness. I have never played a game like this before really nothing can you for it and the play through I have seen are not the whole game. If you play it you will understand. Gamestop has the 7 days to play or you can get rid of it for something else. No game can compare to this. I hope this helps you all and enjoy. It is something You will never forget.
If you are sick of the run and Gun games this will have you on the edge of your seat.
Pretty good!eplymale3043 | May 30, 2013 | Review of Metro: Last Light
I loved the first metro and waited with anticipation for the sequel to be released. Needless to say I was not dissapointed.
The graphics of this game are fantastic, I only wish that I had a better computer so I could run it on it's highest settings. As is my computer crashes occasionally while playing as my computer apparently doesn't get enough air, so it overheats after playing for a while. So there is a big draw on your system when you play this game. But it also has far better graphics than any other game I own.
The gameplay is fairly linerar, but that seems to be the case with most all fps single player campaigns these days. The action is intense, and sneaking around is incredibly rewarding. The animations are quite smooth, but there are a few places where the animation clips a little bit.
I probably should have started playing the game on ranger difficulty, but decided to play ranger hardcore right from the begining. So when they give you that warning saying that no tips will pop up to prompt you while your playing they mean it. In ranger hardcore not only do you dish out and recieve more damage, but there is no hud of any kind, no inventory, and no way of knowing just how many bullets you have left. The only indication that you're gonna get about possibly running out of ammo is when your character inserts only a partial mag into the gun. Then you know your in trouble.
As strange as this is going to sound I was actually kind of dissapointed that they increased the reload speed, as I loved how the slow reload speed of the first metro was realistic, time wise. Another thing that kinda makes me sad was that in the first metro you could always see the mag of the weapons and had an idea of how much ammo you had left. It isn't quite as obvious in Last light.
But the weapons in the game are awesome I never would have expected some of the configurations that they put in here this time. The whole weapon customization setup they have is fantastic. Not only does it work and work well, but you can also enjoy the fact that your weapon looks way cooler after you add a few things to it. And some of the customizations are pretty kick ass to.
4A really turned up the suspense and survival horror aspects of the game as Last Light really keeps you on your toes, and provides more than a few hair raising moments. There are some realy creepy parts that are kinda reminicent of things you might see in something out of the FEAR series.
Bottom line I'm very happy with this game, and so far it looks like It'll have great replay value down the road.
Buy it do it now, and play in ranger mode, like the game was meant to be played.
fun for alittle bit =/eplymale3043 | May 30, 2013 | Review of Rift
It's a fun MMORPG, for maybe a month.
After that, you start to realize that it's all gimmick and little substance. Game world is too small, by a factor of 3X or 4X. Far too little content, which results in a far too quick leveling curve after which you realize there isn't much here worth playing once you hit the level cap in 3-6 weeks.
Replayability is severely limited, because there is almost no redundancy in leveling content. Even if you switch factions, post level 25 you'll be in the same zones as the first run through, only with a slightly different perspective.
Rifts start a blast, but get old very, very quickly. Same with Invasions.
The Developer has been taking steps since launch to cut down on the number of viable builds and balance around the least capable, least fun to play builds. With every balance patch, the fun factor drops a little (or a lot). Eventually, the initially overwhelming character class options will become just as restricting and limited as most MMORPGs.
Great job at producing a game that can hook people that try it, but the game has no legs and most people get bored with in the first 3-8 weeks and realize the game is smoke and mirrors, with little real substance. (BTW, another big minus is that the quality of the zones and content goes down hill severely post level 20-25. It's clear that everything beyond the first couple of zones was rushed).
I got my money's worth on the box price. I did play the heck out of it for three weeks. However, by the end of the free month, it was plain as day that this game fails as a medium or long term MMORPG experience. This will leave many frustrated, because they do a lot of things right, but then ruin the game's chances at being a successful, ongoing MMORPG by launching with a very tiny world with a small amount of content and a pointless, uninspired "end game" experience.
The experience this game provides is unmatched, play it ASAP.eplymale3043 | May 30, 2013 | Review of BioShock Infinite (NA)
Playing as Booker, you unravel the mysteries of Columbia, a city plagued with various social issues such as poverty, racism, sexism, etc. The game pulls you in and refuses to let you go. Definitely get this game.
Its never been a better time to get skyrimeplymale3043 | May 30, 2013 | Review of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Nexway
As good as its predecessor, Skyrim pulls you into the game and refuses to let you go. I wont spoil the story for you, but I definitely recommend you pick this up for PC.
With countless amounts of mods, this game is definitely worth the 30 bucks you put into it.
Awesome game, a few problems keeping it from 100eplymale3043 | May 30, 2013 | Review of Borderlands 2 (NA)
I love this game from start to finish. the only problem I have with this game is that once you hit level cap, I find it incredibly annoying that you must level another character just to get into a difficulty mode.
