A outstanding third-person-shooter but what happened to Max?

fRost373 | Sept. 21, 2013 | Review of Max Payne 3 Steam - PC

Max Payne 3 is dark an and moody in it's own way but is missing the small touches of the two original games from Remedy, that twisted noir cop story feel and twisted humor is gone and is replaced with a depressed cop story trying to escape from its roots. That's probably the worst part of the game, the story and feel of it, it makes you wish it had not been a Max Payne game and rather its own ip. Now the best part, the gameplay! Here is where May Payne 3 shines and outshines the previous games! It goes for a more realistic feel making you only carry two sidearms and a main weapon instead of fifteen different guns at once forcing you to be a little bit more conserving with you're ammunition at times. The feel of your guns and movement is heavier and feels more realistic and also fluid than before, every weapon feels like they pack a real punch and upon hitting you're target they do a very satisfying dance of death before the hit the floor with a bang. The shooting and movement is tight and fun, it really kept every fight interesting. As a finishing note, the loading times are atrocious, there is no defending how long it takes to load this games even on a top of the line SSD and 16gb ram I find myself pulling my own hair when I just want to jump in to the arcade mode and shoot some baddies.

Enjoyable hack'n'slah

fRost373 | Sept. 21, 2013 | Review of Dungeon Siege III - PC

If you're expecting it to be like the first or second Dungeon Siege you will be disappointed, that's not to say the third installment is bad in anyway, to the contrary I found it too be a very enjoyable hack'n'slash loot fest with a interesting enough story to keep me coming back for more. It's definitely worth your time!
