Great game, even bought some DLC for it

finkrocks44 | Dec. 31, 2013 | Review of Worms Reloaded - PC

This is a really fun game, and very representative of the standard Worms series. I love the franchise a lot, and if you've never played it before, it might be a good idea to test out any game from the series you can get your hands on since they follow a pretty standard model. It's an absolute blast to play with friends, so you should try to get a friend to get a copy with you so you can play multiplayer together. I love this game a lot and would recommend this game to pretty much anyone, but I will say I know a few people who aren't as excited as me about it, so it might be an acquired taste. Definitely give it a try, the price is right and it has amazing replayability.

A top pick game for any collection

finkrocks44 | Nov. 22, 2013 | Review of The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Legendary Edition Bethesda - PC

This is one of my absolute favorite games of all time, and if you have not played it yet, you need to get it now. This game has a gigantic overworld, ad you have complete freedom to do whatever you want, so you will never get bored of repetitive play. The legendary edition just adds more fun to the mix, but if you are on a budget, it is completely reasonable to just go with the base game and still have an amazing experience. The legendary edition comes with a good pile of DLC but it doubles the price of the base game, so if you've never played any Elder Scrolls games before, it might be a good idea to start with Oblivion or the base game to see if you like it before tossing around $60. If you know that you like these types of games, then I would definitely give my recommendation for legendary edition to have the full experience.

Same old fallout, new land

finkrocks44 | Nov. 22, 2013 | Review of Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition - PC

Personally, I still think that I like Fallout 3 better than New Vegas, but both are very similar. New Vegas does, however, have a nicer landscape, and actual cities that bring new life to the game. The mechanics are just like in Fallout 3, you are traveling around the world in a free-realm and can go across doing everything in any order you choose, so you have unlimited gameplay hours and replayability. My only complaint is that other than giving you a new storyline and world, it doesn't really do much different than Fallout 3, it feels more like an expansion than a completely new game. The price seems to be going pretty low though, and whether or not its like Fallout 3, it's still an amazing game and I would highly recommend it.

One of the best indie games I've played

finkrocks44 | Nov. 22, 2013 | Review of Super Meat Boy - PC

Super meat boy is one of those "I'll only play one more level" games, and will leave you staying up for hours playing it. The controls are flawless, and everything works very smoothly. The cut-scenes and story line add for some great comedy and make the game even more enjoyable. The game is actually pretty big, having a huge library of hidden levels and characters to unlock, and there seems to always be something more to do. The only complaint I have about the game is its high price-tag for an indie game, but it still is worth it at full price, and I would recommend jumping for it if it goes on sale.

Funny and entertaining game, but not much to it

finkrocks44 | Nov. 22, 2013 | Review of DLC Quest - PC

I ended up getting this game on sale and have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The game is basically a satire of modern games that require DLC. It kept me entertained for a couple of hours but takes very little time to complete, but what else can you expect when the game costs a couple of dollars when full-priced. The gameplay itself is pretty cool and has very smooth controls, but there is almost no replayability. At a price of $3 I would still recommend getting the game, it can give quite a few laughs and the gameplay has a very nice modern-retro hybrid feeling to it.

A beginner's opinion

finkrocks44 | Nov. 21, 2013 | Review of Sid Meiers Civilization V - PC

Civilization 5 was the first game in the series that I started out with. I had never previously intended on getting into it since it never appealed to me, but when there was an offer online to get it for free I decided to try it out. I am extremely pleasantly surprised so far, and am even going to purchase an expansion pack(brave new world) now because I like the game so much. It's a standard strategy game that has you progressing through time as you try to conquer the world, and it's actually really cool how they threw in so many real historical references to the gameplay. The only complaint I do have, however, is that with just the base game there isn't much option for how to win. Militaristic paths seem to trump all other methods of winning for speed and efficiency, so that part did annoy me a little bit. Overall this is an absolutely amazing game and I would highly recommend it if you can find a good deal around. A word to the wise, do not ever try to convince yourself that you will only play for a little bit longer, it is NEVER going to be a little bit longer, even if you're sick of the game you're in, it is very hard to quit.
