Legend is back!

gba94 | Aug. 18, 2013 | Review of XCOM: Enemy Unknown

There are not much things to explain XCOM to turn-based strategy players. Only thing we can say the legend is back as a modern game. For people who know nothing about XCOM, this game is a turn-based strategy game basicly. The main theme of the game is hunting Alliens and saving the World. You are responsible for a base which is set by yourself into a continental. You are related to XCOM project and you have to use your base for training soldiers, engineers, scientists and using them to take Alliens down. At the beginning of the game, it might be hard for you, but make sure you will get used to it. Anyway you will use your base as a scientific research center, as a satelitte uplink center, and as a factory for gears, weapons etc. And of course the missions... The damn missions actually. The missions are very important for XCOM project because it causes your degree at the end of the month. If you have succesful missions you will get better degrees and gifts(like cash, soldier, scientist etc) and also the affected area will be safe for a while. If we mention about inside the mission, from your soldiers position to gears they equipped, a lot of things affect your success. You should set your soldier behind the true covers and move them very carefully (If you dont be cautious you may lose your soldier by an overwatching allien). In short the strategy fans definetely should check this game out, try the demo and be a true XCOM player. So, Good luck Commanders :)
