Silly Dumb Fungizmoch | Dec. 27, 2013 | Review of Left 4 Dead 2 - Xbox 360
Left 4 Dead 2 is a sequel to the acclaimed zombie survival game Left 4 Dead. This time the weapons are increased, the maps are changed and the graphics are slightly upgraded. You play multiple levels that essentially have no story except for get from point A to point B and survive the zombies. The game is very basic and pretty much anyone can pick it up and play it. The online is improved as well and I found myself playing multiplayer for hours. It's a great game, one that improves over it's original while keeping it's charm.
Masterpiecegizmoch | Dec. 24, 2013 | Review of The Last of Us - PlayStation 3
The Last of Us hooked me in instantly and I ended up completing it in a couple of days (because I was playing it so much not because it was short). I have never been so emotionally invested in a video game in my entire life. The characters aren't just likeable, they are loveable. The graphics are some of the best I've ever seen. The gameplay is fantastic and never gets boring. The story has a bunch of twists and turns and it is great. If there is one problem I have, it's that it's ending just didn't have the emotional payoff that I wanted it to have. But it was still a fantastic game. It's one of the best entertainment products I've ever seen. The Last of Us is the Breaking Bad of video games.
Absolutely fantasticgizmoch | Dec. 24, 2013 | Review of Bioshock Infinite Post Overflow - PC
The original Bioshock is my favorite game of all-time. The second one was good but not great. Infinite had a lot to live up to, and mostly it did. The story is just mindblowing and the ending has such a massive twist that you will be left speechless. The gameplay definitely lacks and feels a little bit clunky compared to the previous two games. The graphics are fantastic and when you first enter Columbia, you feel just like the way you felt when you entered Rapture for the first time. Bioshock Infinite is one of my favorite games of this year, it is brilliant.
Not as bad as people say it isgizmoch | Dec. 22, 2013 | Review of Fable III - Xbox 360
Fable 2 is one of my favorite RPGs ever made. I was excited for Fable 3 and got it straight away. It wasn't as good as I'd hoped for but it was a fun game. My favorite part was the last half of the game where you are king and have to do different deeds, if the whole game was that it would have been fantastic. The game does suffer from repetitive gameplay, very stupid un-funny moments and a lack of what made the previous two games so great. But it's still a fun game and will keep you hooked for hours.
