Everything DOOM!

grandmaster_b | June 28, 2013 | Review of Doom 3 BFG Edition Nexway - PC

Tthis is a bundle of all Doom games and official expansions! All of this is a lot of fun! Doom 1 and 2 are some of the best retro shooters, maybe the best, I found it as addicting as 20 years ago, these games will be epic for eternity! The gameplay is just great and will ever be! Doom 3 is also very good, but does not stand out so much these days, its -just- a good horror shooter, however, the expansion and the "Lost Missions" included here is really worth your time and I enjoy every piece of it. Graphics are still great, I wish they had updated the engine and textures a little more though, if you own vanilla Doom 3 you probably don't notice a difference. The sound-effects of the weapons are my only real complain with Doom 3 but this does not ruin the overall experience. If I would rate only Doom 3, that would be a 83/100, but all the stuff included here makes this a keeper! Quantity and quality in one package, what else could you want?

I've this game on a netbook and its works very well, performance is not a problem at all. Its a turn based god game with some unique gameplay. Its mostly about the balance of two fractions - often feels like you are playing a strategy game against yourself. I must say so far I do enjoy it very much. While I do normally prefer real-time strategy game, this kinda plays like a board game which I personally like a lot. Also the price is very cheap, its probably not a game that you can play endlessly but definately from time to time. A few more game modes from the developer could change that tho. Recommended if you like some chilled gameplay without putting your brain on idle.

I played this one for around 20 hours. Sometimes i really hated it! The driving physics are mad at high speeds and the automatic gear changing is going wild at low speeds. While the whole driving is fun, that issues suck. On the other end there is a lot of variety and fun. The "Adrenaline" modes you can install in your cars are very cool and you can customize the appearance all you want, i feel like the cars i own have my fingerprints. There is also an integrated internet radio player which i enjoyed while racing. The whole game is a bunch of good and bad stuff thrown together. It is fun to me but its hard to recommend it cause i know that some people might hate it for its issues.

Awesome game, why i never heard of it?

grandmaster_b | June 18, 2011 | Review of Dark Sector - PC

I expected a sluggish console port with mediocre gameplay. But wow! This is an awesome game! The controls are perfect (i changed some keys tho) the graphics are very good and so is the sound. The story may be confusing but the great atmosphere makes up for that. It reminds me a lot of Resident Evil 5 but with a twist, i cant even decide which i like better. The gameplay has variety and is just plain fun, sometimes brutal and scary but that's not a bad thing in my opinion.

Painkiller meets Wolfenstein meets Bulletstorm

grandmaster_b | June 1, 2011 | Review of NecroVisioN Lost Company - PC

When i started playing the original Necrovision i didn't get it at all, the gameplay mechanics are a bit different, you have to find the right mix of offensive and defensive tactics. To make a simplifiction, multi-kills (so to speak) can regenerate health and can do multi damage, this also varies with different weapons and combos. So be open to experiment with that a lot! The (optional) challenge maps gives you a run for your money, otherwise the game is not too difficult. Graphics are nice, the sound is great, the atmosphere is unique and even the controls are just right. The only downside is a bland story and some mediocre vehicle driving/flying parts. Anyhow, if you wanna show some undeads who's boss, this is the game!
