Amazing Game, Even better with DLChellomoto7 | May 20, 2013 | Review of Mount & Blade: Warband DNS
As soon as I started playing this game, I was hooked. Since last august, I have put almost 1000 hours into this game, and I still play it everyday. The campaign, multiplayer, as well as the many mods and the dlc offer a variety of time periods, game types, and is basically a new game within every mod that makes it so you never tire of this game. But the main thing that hooked me was the combat system. The four attack directions give a huge variety of options when in melee combat, and to duel an actual player online is very exciting and exhilarating.
There are a few small glitches here and there such as textures not loading, giving white shapes instead of colors, and sky boxes not being there. In the campaign the map also sometimes bugs out and it looks like you are travelling in the sky. In gameplay, though, there are little or no errors that I can see, and all mechanics of the four attack work perfectly.
Overall, this game is so much fun, and even though I got the whole Mount & Blade series on sale for $8, I would gladly pull full price for it, if something were to happen to my steam account.
Best Total War in my Opinionhellomoto7 | May 20, 2013 | Review of Empire: Total War
I have played through all of the recent total wars from rome to shogun 2, and out of those, Empire has to be my favorite. The grand campaign spans over such a large area that it really gives the player freedom to do anything they want from just conquering the Americas, or focusing on India, Europe, or all three fronts. I especially like how they got rid of diplomats and made a simple diplomatic relations menu.
The real time battles are also quite good. The strategy that comes from commanding troops with long range muskets provides a new approach to Total War not present in rome or medieval. This also happens to be one of my favorite time periods, and therefore I find very fun. The DLC units also provide more variety to the nations and seeing historically famous troops such as the 33rd foot and the swiss guards fight each other is very exciting.
Must be in your collection if not alreadyhellomoto7 | May 20, 2013 | Review of Battlefield 3 (NA)
I finally built a new rig, and running this game on max, it's almost like I'm inside the real world fighting. The amount of openness in multiplayer and the different approaches you can take to handling a situation is all very fun. The destructible environment also adds a new level of strategy to the game.
The singleplayer is a little bit lacking, and has a very predictable plot with quick-time events and isn't very fun. The Co-op however is quite fun when you're playing with a friend over skype, and I especially enjoyed the stealth mission where two people have to sneak through a building to rescue a hostage.
Overall, positives outweighs the negatives, and the only reason a person would get this game would be for the multiplayer anyway.
Good Gamehellomoto7 | April 22, 2013 | Review of Tropico 3: Gold Edition DNS
This game was on sale for a really good price, so I decided to pick it up. Becoming the "El Presidente" and building your own city, deciding what happens to it, and such, was all really fun. Great graphics, sound, and gameplay. I would recommend anyone who sees this game on sale to get it!
