Dawnguard is another solid DLC for Skyrim fans, and a significant step-up from what Hearthfire offered. The new quests are interesting enough, and anyone who wants to run around as a Vampire Lord or more powerful werewolf is going to enjoy themselves immensely. It does feel like a slight step back from Dragonborn however, with fewer new enemies and equipment, and less variety visually too. Still if you’re hankering for more Skyrim you’re unlikely to be disappointed with Dawnguard.

Dragonborn is a robust package, which is more of an expansion than an add-on. The main quest, chasing after Miraak, is lengthy, but there are also plenty of other sidequests to undertake, new armour and weapons to forge, a host of new enemies, a few Shouts, as well as the ability to ride dragons for the very first time (which is, unfortunately, not as fun as it sounds). Oh, there are also a couple of extremely tough boss fights to endure if you think you're tough enough. All in all Dragonborn offers at least six hours of fun, but it can be much more than that if you take your time and enjoy all it has to offer.

A game full of possibilities and excellent ideas. Unfortunately - there are many disappointments: absurd limitations is terms of the area that can be used for a new city kills creativity, and Glassbox technology has some issues that interfere with an idyllic metropolitan life. The developers have concentrated too much on cooperation and social elements and have forgotten basic gameplay elements. You play and have a very strong feeling that the game isn't polished enough. And when you consider monstrous problems with servers and DRM, you get a game that's simply not very good.
