World in Conflict: Complete Edition

jack9320 | Nov. 24, 2013 | Review of World in Conflict Complete Edition - PC

I'm a fan of RTS games and world in conflict has to be one of my favourites. Its unique game play had me playing a lot of this game. The campaign is interesting, focusing on a plausible WW3 scenario and the multi-player is fun (when playing with team work). Its low price should easily deserve a buy especially when it often goes on a 75% sale. Tactical aid is awesome and its a shame other games haven't adopted this game play style as its so fun. however I do recommend having a look at some game play first as there are some who may not like it as much as I do.

A refreshing and unique change to the fps genre

jack9320 | Oct. 25, 2013 | Review of Crysis - PC

Other than the obviously fantastic graphics, the game creates a fantastic environment in which you can approach you targets in many ways, either in a stealthy fashion or a guns blazing using the different suit functions which provide the game with such a unique style of game play. The open sections allow you to plan out your actions. The game is a refreshing pace on the fps genre and is definitely worth the price of the game at around £10. The story is OK but the suit functions and weapon customisations on the go are what make this game so great. My only problem with the game was with the introduction of the new enemies half way through the game, it seems to loose the open areas and tactical combat in exchange for multiple fire fights which was a shame. multilayer kept crashing on my computer and I was unable to find fix, however the game with worth every penny on campaign alone. This game wont soon be forgotten as I go through another play through of this excellent game.

Crysis 2 deserves your money

jack9320 | Oct. 24, 2013 | Review of Crysis 2 - PlayStation 3

Crysis 2 is a game that displays very high production values, graphics are great, animations are probably the nicest for a FPS I have ever seen. The game play as usual in crysis games with your choice of stealth and going loud, providing that very unique crysis gameplay. The introduction of nanosuit upgrades increases a feel of customisation to the game on top of the returning weapon customisation in combat. the Story line is also engaging, although those new to the series may have to do a small amount of prior reaserch. Multilayer is fun although it probably wont last you too long, I only play it every so often. The main problem I have with the game is that it is much more limited and linier in gameplay than crysis 1, open sections replaced with "tactical options", flanking, climbing into a sewer to go under the street, etc. these options are frequently the same. This doesn't follow on from the formula of the original crysis which is the most disappointing part of the game. However that being said it is a fantastic FPS with one the best sound tracks I have heard, if not the best for a game. I recommend buying this game if you are new to the series, but crysis veterans beware that the formula has changed from the fantastic original, not necessarily in a bad way, but it will disappoint older crysis players. The game is worth a buy though as I had alot of fun on the multiplayer with some friends as it is a nice break from battlefield or call of duty buy wont be a multiplayer you keep returning to.

Crysis 2.5

jack9320 | Oct. 23, 2013 | Review of Crysis 3 - PC

After playing through both the first and the second, crysis takes a more emotional approach to the storyline. However the story didn't really interest me and I found myself at the end with not much knowledge of what had happened. However what I do remember was the unique game play which I feel crysis does so well allowing me to switch between predator stealth and guns blazing. The visual design is great with amazing graphics and great animations, sounds are also done extremely well and although the soundtrack was good I preferred the one from crysis 2. The game has astounding production quality and a very different feel to it. However due to the forgettable story and the fact that the formula for crysis 1 has seemed to have been forgotten I would advise a purchase at a discount price. If you enjoyed crysis 2 I believe this would be a good purchase for you but other than the amazing production quality and unique game play elements (i.e. the suit) this game feels very average, with a multilayer that you'll try every once in a while but youll probably go back to battlefield or call of duty.

Bioshock Infinite

jack9320 | Oct. 12, 2013 | Review of Bioshock Infinite Post Overflow - PC

One of the best story based games ive played in a long time. The combat is fun with vigors that are all different and allow for different play styles with many weapons. My one down side is the ending of the game as it is all explained in the final cut scene and does not really do the relationship of the two characters justice. however this should not prevent you from buying the game, as this is my opinion, I know many other people who really liked the ending. Elizabeth is a great addition to the game making it feel less lonely than the first bioshock games, and putting twist on the combat.
