Plan 9 from Outer Space!

joel_calderon | May 4, 2013 | Review of Unstoppable Gorg - PC

Unstoppable Gorg is yet another tower defense game. It did not blow my mind away in terms of its game play or graphics, but it did keep me interested for a few hours. I do think Hidden Path’s Defense Grid is still better, but Unstoppable Gorg can hold its own. Strangely enough, when I play the game, it gives me the feeling that I am in a colored version of Ed Wood Jr.’s movie, “Plan 9 from Outer Space”. Maybe it is all those UFO-esque graphics, or maybe it is those “funky” sound. In any case, it adds another level of fun to my playing it. Lastly, there is no multiplayer whatsoever. This may be a deal-breaker for some gamers, but not for me, as I enjoy single-player gaming equally as multiplayer. All in all, Unstoppable Gorg is a good game for its price.

Fun shoot-em-up

joel_calderon | April 28, 2013 | Review of Sine Mora - PC

The game, though not entirely unique, does provide a few hours of fun. It's one of those classic-esque shoot-em-up that forgoes deep, well-thought of story/plot in favor of unadulterated joy of blowing things up senseless. In other words, this is more like Serious Sam than Half-Life.
