When I was sitting in my class at University, my friends talked non-stop about the mass effect series and I often ignored it as it wasn't "my type of game". Along came a sale and I decided why not. I played my way from the first Mass Effect to this one and I can honestly say without a doubt how wrong I was. This gaming series is one of the best that I have ever played. This gaming series was truly an extraordinary experience and is extremely rewarding to fully complete every game in the series. The plot is truly exceptional, graphics are amazing, gameplay is fun but the major stand out for me was re-playability of the game. You can play the game several times over with a male or female protagonist with different agendas and each play-through will feel different with the in-game characters reacting to each decision you have made in the past. It was so good, I wish i could blank my mind and replay it just so I could experience it all over again. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Good but not brilliantkr1sEboi | Aug. 20, 2013 | Review of Bioshock Infinite
To be honest, I am going to buck the trend and say that this game is nowhere near as good as I thought it was going to be. I read reviews everywhere and people were making it out to be the best thing since sliced bread. The graphics were excellent and the general atmosphere that was generated was fantastic. However, the essential component that is gameplay was very poor. Gun battles were extremely boring and shoddy and I felt that the game worlds felt very restricted as the game was often pushing you down the path rather than letting you walk at your own pace. Not only that, the game was ridiculously easy and every fight became tedious to the point that I didn't really care.
Best game I have ever played, period.kr1sEboi | May 25, 2013 | Review of Deus Ex: Human Revolution Augmented Edition
Played the original deus ex and after many, many years, Deus Ex:Human Revolution was released. This game, IMO, the best game I have ever played. It grabbed the perfect ingredients and threw them into the melting pot and by god, it tasted good. The graphics are excellent, very sharp and crisp but I felt that graphics that was illustrating buildings and streets from distances, especially in the helipad scenes could have done better and I feel this is quite literally, the only thing that lets the game down. The soundtrack is excellent and has fits perfectly aswell as the characters, who have been well developed through conversation within the game aswell as being able to see their character from different perspectives - through newspapers, emails and e-books which can be found through looking the game world. The storyline is fantastic, you can tell instantly that alot of studying and ground work has been done in order to make the storylines more believable and the game has been well constructed, with no major flaws within the main storyline at all. The game, with the DLC (The Missing Link) included gives the game even more gameplay and further analysis into what happened at a particular part of the story (I won't elaborate, don't want to ruin the story). In the hardest difficulty, whilst seeking out ebooks, emails etc, this game (including DLC) took me about 40-45 hours of gameplay to complete. It's a bargain, even at full price.
Brilliant Game but with some flawskr1sEboi | May 25, 2013 | Review of Hitman: Absolution
Been a huge fan and played every single game in the series however I can't rate it more than 70% in my honest opinion. The game is excellent, especially when played at the highest difficultly and can prove a real challenge even to the most avid Hitman player but I felt quite limited in what I could do in the game in some levels in particular more than others. Some levels have been done brilliantly whereas others seem to lack effort and have been done very poorly, forcing you down a similar preconstructed path which is the only way to actually complete the level without being caught. The system of "distraction" in the game seems to be bugged aswell, sometimes throwing a wrench would attract someone miles away from the intended target instead of a person standing 3-4 feet away. Not only this, but I feel that the disguise system could have been implemented better;Sometimes taking a disguise is completely pointless and almost counter productive, as the AI is able to determine (especially in the harder difficulties) almost straight away that you aren't who you are disguised to be. If they fixed this in sequels or even in updates (which i highly doubt), then the game would score more points and win over more fans.
