Mortal Kombat is better than ever!kurisusutoraiku | March 18, 2014 | Review of Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition - PC
Netherrealm Studios has made Mortal Kombat a legendary fighting game once again with the reboot of the once beloved series. A reboot much needed after the Play Station 2 games that were quite dreadful. Mortal Kombat 9 brings a simple yet complex fighting system, with brutal fatalities to match. A challenging story mode, and great multiplayer game modes. The graphics are pretty great especially on max settings, however the story mode cutscenes are extremely low resolution and look horrible on PC. Unlike the PS2 games, the fighting is in a 2.5D perspective which is much better than the 3D perspective. The controls are quick and responsive and the 'Test your...' minigames are extremely fun.
Darksiders II is so much better than the first!kurisusutoraiku | March 18, 2014 | Review of Darksiders II - PC
Darksiders II is a massive overhaul of what the first Darksiders was, the combat is a lot better with a good RPG-like inventory screen which lets you choose what equipment Death can wear, and this can affect how your game plays out as you can spec into different playstyles to suit what you want. The addition of free-running to navigate the terrain is a great idea as it gives you more manoeuvrability while making the game seem more open. The music in the game is really good and atmospheric, and the boss fights are amazing. I fully recommend this game and if it is on sale, you should definitely pick it up!
Great game, although not worth the big asking price...kurisusutoraiku | April 29, 2013 | Review of Scribblenauts Unlimited (1) - PC
I really like this game, it's extremely imaginative with you being able to bring almost anything into the game (especially so with Steam workshop). The missions are simple and fun, (although they can sometimes be too simple, not even requiring you to think). The story is fine albeit a little cliche. But the game really falls short in length. It is 4-6 hours long depending on how much you mess around and what not. That short length is a bit too much considering the high price of the game. I totally recommend the game if it's on sale, but at over £20. It isn't all that worth it.
You Need To Buy This Game!kurisusutoraiku | April 29, 2013 | Review of BioShock Infinite Post - PC
I love this game, and I'm not going to say it's perfect and give it 100/100, because it's not, it has a few problems, but they are easily overlooked when you look at the rest of the game. The graphics are superb, the AI are very intelligent (especially Elizabeth, the best character in the game in my opinion). The story is fantastic. The game is a bit on the short side though, only taking me 14 hours to finish and I was exploring a lot. Overall this game is worth every penny and you need to buy it.
