Cool gamelpmafiota | Oct. 19, 2012 | Review of Aliens vs Predator
Aliens vs Predator has always been a rather fun concept and seeing a reboot of the video game series is a nice thing. The story as usual pits the main factions of the series(the humans, the aliens and the predators) against one another, each having their own agenda and their own abilities and specific gameplay mechanics - for example the aliens' campaign is more stealth oriented and involves a lot of wall climbing, while the human one provides a decent amount of horror. The graphics are rather nice, especially when switched to DirectX 11. The sound and atmosphere are top notch. Overall I'd recommend the game to every fan of the series, as well as anyone new to it.
Amazing gamelpmafiota | Oct. 19, 2012 | Review of Alan Wake: Collector's Edition
Alan Wake has to be one of the most amazing games I've played in recent years. The story, which is told in sort of the form of a TV show, is brilliant. The gameplay, while a bit repetitive at times, is rather fun. The atmosphere is impressive. And to be honest, while the main storyline was a bit easy to play through, even on Nightmare difficulty, the DLCs that are included really kick it up a notch. And not to mention the other goodies in the pack - the soundtrack is just amazing and the Alan Wake Files really expand the world of the game. Overall I really enjoyed both the game and the extra content of the Collector's edition, which was worth the extra bucks, so I totally recommend buying this.
Great gamelpmafiota | Oct. 19, 2012 | Review of Quantum Conundrum: Season Pass
As a fan of the Portal series I had huge expectations of this game and honestly it surpassed them. The gameplay mechanics are incredibly fun, the story is interesting, the humor is on par with Portal's, the graphics are incredible and the music and sound effects are top notch. The only thing that kinda bothered me about it was the rather hard to pull off at times first person platforming.
Great gamelpmafiota | June 13, 2012 | Review of Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Deus Ex: Human Revolution has been one of the most fun RPGs I've played recently. There are many ways to go through every part of the game, except for the boss battles, which in my opinion were the only really lackluster part of the game. The story is gripping and poses many questions about humanity and the future. The graphics, while pretty good did feel a bit outdated, and the amazing music fits the game. All parts of the gameplay felt great - the leveling system, which involves acquiring different augmentations, was appropriate, the cover mechanics were well implemented, the dialogue choices were well thought out. There's a lot more that can be said about the game, but overall I highly recommend buying and playing it.
