One of the best open world experience out theremeltinghero | Feb. 27, 2014 | Review of Far Cry 3
You play as Jason Brody, an average guy having a vacation on a mysterious island with his friends. You and your friends then get captured by pirates and thus begins the story of Far Cry 3.
The best thing about this game is the open world feature. I, myself am an open world lover and Far Cry 3 just nailed the spot. You can capture outpost, hunt animals, wrestle with crocodile and lots more. You also have various weapons at your disposal and you can customize them. You can almost feel as if you were shooting a real gun, the recoil and the impact as the bullets tear through your enemy is an amazing experience.
The car driving mechanics in this game is phenomenal, easily one of the best I have ever experienced, although you will have the strong urge of crashing your car after every trip. The story is pretty decent too and I enjoy it. The voice acting though, is amazing and you can feel the emotions of Jason as he is struggling through hell.
As like every game, there are downsides. The characters in this game are easily forgettable aside from Vaas and sadly, he is in only a small portion of the game. I would pay more to see him play a more major role in this game. The radio towers, which you are required to go through to get map vision, are extremely frustrating and repetitive. I would always sigh if I see one and grudgingly force myself through it.
Overall, Far Cry 3 is an extremely good game, defenitely worth it's price point. An open world experience you do not want to miss.
What the FPS competetive scene needsmeltinghero | Feb. 27, 2014 | Review of Counter Strike: Global Offensive
"Extremely Competitive" is what first comes to mind after hundreds of hours playing this game. Every kill will be extremely satisfying and tou will find yourself throwing your arms in the air celebrating after you just won a 1 vs 2. Many tense moments comes with this game.
The only real downside of this game is that, you will need to spend a lot of hours practicing and shooting. Not that is really matters as you will surely enjoy every hour of it.
Another great thing about this CS:GO is that, at the end of every match, you will receive random drops, gun skins or even crates which you would need a key to open. You could sell them for a bit of money or even spend full time trading. Many has profited hundreds, even thousands of dollars from this game.
If you enjoy FPS games, this is a must. Counter Strike: Global Offensive is my personal favorite of the Counter Strike Series and you would be mad not to pick this gem up.
Only 5 bucks guys!meltinghero | Feb. 27, 2014 | Review of The Binding of Isaac
Many curses and broken keyboards comes with this game. Only kidding, but you get my point. Binding of Isaac is an extremely challenging game, you will find yourself frustrated and often, wanting to quit the game, but you won't. Trust me, although frustrating this game is hell a lot of fun.
Binding of Isaac delivers dark humour and I find myself amused and chuckling at them. The games has randomized dungeon and the controls are easy to learn. On some runs you would find yourself having some godly item on just the first level and crap on others. That's the beauty of this game.
There are bosses at the end of every level, some are easy but most are challenging, there are also mini bosses which have their own very unique mechanics. The difficulty of the levels starts to pick up at level 3, and you would find yourself on the very edge of your seat, dodging bullets and monsters.
You would have a hard time finding a game as addicted and fun as The Binding of Isaac, especially at 5 dollars. What are you waiting for? Pick this game up now and prepare for tons of fun!
An enjoyable experiencemeltinghero | Feb. 27, 2014 | Review of Hitman: Absolution
I have never been a fan of the hitman series, but this game changed that.
Hitman Absolution is a stealth game and a pretty darn good one at that! You can choose to be a sneaky assassin and kill the required target(s) without anyone even realizing or you could plow through your way with your silverballers although it isn't quite as fun.
Hitman Absoultion is different from the other hitman games, most noticeably, Hitman: Blood Money. You do not get to choose your weapons or your choice of assassination before the levels, instead, they give you several ways of doing so already. That being said, you would still find yourself playing the levels over again as there are many alternate routes of going through.
The cut scenes and voice acting are top notch, you would enjoy every moment of the cut scenes like every other hitman games. The graphics were gorgeous and played very well on my laptop which doesn't take other games too well.
My major complaint though, is the disguise system. I found it quite absurb as every police officer would notice that you are in disguise if you are dressed up as one. The only way to counter this is to use your "instinct mode" or to just sneak pass them. That being said, the game can be pretty challenging and I am just playing at normal difficulty and that is a huge plus. If you are looking for a challenge, spending minutes devising a plan to assasinate your target, well this is exactly the game for you.
Overall, Hitman Absoultion is an extremely well made game. I can understand why some fans are slightly disappointed but I could safely say that this is my personal favorite in the series.
