Challenging But Rewarding.metallicfire | June 16, 2013 | Review of Hitman Blood Money Steam - PC
Hitman is not the sort of game where you helicopter into a foreign country, mow down the enemy with a machine gun and then chopper out and move on to the next mission in a matter of minutes. Hitman is the sort of game that rewards careful observation, planning, and timing more than anything else. This makes it very difficult to master, but it just feels so good to get it right. And what's more, there is no one way to do an assassination right. There is usually at least two or three ways to take out a target, which gives you a lot of flexibility in how you go about the missions. All in all, Hitman Blood Money isn't a perfect game, nor is it a game the impatient will enjoy. However, if you are willing to put in the work and think outside the box, Hitman is your game.
A Great Game...Just Not On PCmetallicfire | June 9, 2013 | Review of Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition NA - PC
I tried Dark Souls on the PC. I really wanted to love it. The sad thing is, I could tell that were I playing this game on the console, it would be fantastic. The problem is that this is a lazy port. The controls are frustrating at best without a gamepad. Honestly, if people are buying the game o their pc, chances are they would like to at least have the option to use mouse and keyboard. You can only get the most out of your pc's graphical performance with mods which just prolong the amount of time it takes to start playing. If you can actually get around all of these obstacles to make the game playable, it's a load of fun. So without these problems I would have given the game something around an 85. With all of this frustration just to get the game working at the level it should have been shipped at, however, I give the pc port a 65.
Beautifulmetallicfire | June 5, 2013 | Review of Total War Shogun 2 - PC
Shogun 2 is probably the best in the Total War series to date. The world is rich and authentic. Strategy and careful planning really matter. The AI still isn't perfect, but has largely improved. Overall a largely entertaining, rich experience. Buy it.
