Succesful improvements and a whole new storymichelpulha | Nov. 12, 2013 | Review of Fallout: New Vegas
This game didn't disappointed in any way in comparison with FO3. The graphics have improved (a little), the skills were partially reworked, new enemies, a lot of factions and more comedy elements as well. I just couldn't get enough of the details that are found in every place. The utility skills (like barter, speech, cience and repair) became more interesting, unlocking many possibilities along the way. You can fully understand the context, empathize with the people's lifestyle, learn about each faction story...it's definitely one of the most immersive games. The graphics are great and does not require much hardware, the only downside is that the characters are still invariantly ugly. Fortunately, all the Fallout games are very easy to mod and there's hundreds of ways to quickly improve the graphics. In fact, it will look like a 2012 game just by adding a new texture pack.
Other games will look not so great from now on!michelpulha | Nov. 12, 2013 | Review of Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition
After playing FO3 I found it very difficult to get back to the basic FPS games, 'cause the RPG feeling of this game is so addictive that games based on a linear storyline now are just not enough. You'll think "ok, it would be nice to do that, but why I can't just do the other way?". You'll be addicted, craving for more interaction with the story, more decisions to make, more possibilities to explore.
Slowest strategy game of the yearmichelpulha | Nov. 12, 2013 | Review of Sid Meier’s Civilization® V
There's not much thinking to do, and the turn-based system makes the multiplayer loose all the emotion. Phrases like "c'mon!", "get out facebook and play" are very common. Also, it takes hours to play a good match. If we got a fun/hour rating, this one would get a very low rating. Most players would prefer to play other games just because they're not sure if they will play long enough to end the match. Definitely not enjoyable as a pvp competitive strategy game. However, all the other features are just awesome. The game brings a rich lore, tons of possibilities, many ways to grow each civilization and a good graphic. It comes with a nice and easy multiplayer match making, and it's absolutely perfect to play with friends.
Extremely fun, depending on your skills and playstylemichelpulha | Nov. 6, 2013 | Review of The Duke Nukem Platformer Pack
The early games of DN series will bring you tons of quick action combats and very few ways to pass through them - keep in mind that these are ancient games and you'll don't have any controls but jumping, walking and firing, and in a very limited way. Extremely fun for if you're skilled on platform games, assuming that you're familiar with enormous pixels and 8-bit sounds. Also, definitely not a pack for defensive or stealth play - just be agressive and fast!
