Not Bad, Not Mind Blowingly Amazingmossiprose | Nov. 3, 2013 | Review of GRID 2
I loved the first Grid game. And I totally love this game too. I find it is a little easy, a little more arcade racer than its predecessor. I do not feel this detracts from the game, just something you notice over time. It is amazingly beautiful, from detailed tracks to smoke effects that react to speed and environment. If you are a racing fan, I recommend picking it up, just know that it is fairly easy to win. Online play is fun, but a lot of people just screw around instead of race, more easy wins. At the time of writing this, the game is on sale for half price, this is an amazing value for what you are getting. So give it a shot.
Burnout Paradise 2mossiprose | April 8, 2013 | Review of Need for Speed Most Wanted (NA)
This game is amazing if you are a true fan of Burnout Paradise. Think Burnout with real cars, and cop chases and you pretty much know what this game is. It is mad by the guys from Criterion who made Burnout. Personally, I spent hours playing paradise and totally love this game. Graphics are amazing, at least on max settings. The shadows get pretty jaggie otherwise. Cars are unlocked by finding them on the map. They are parked in various places. Some good cars like the Veyron to Ford Focus. Even the F150 Raptor makes an appearance.
All in all, I recommend this game to racing fans who enjoyed Burnout. It doesnt fit with the Need for Speed name, but it is not a bad game.
Sounds is good, car sounds are realistic. Controls are great with a 360 controller Gameplay is exactly what Burnout was like, with one small exception, tracks are available by car. So only certain cars can race in certain courses. Not a bad thing, but there is the odd time you will want to do a race with a car that wont do the course. Its rare, but be aware of it. The only reason this does not get a solid 100 is the DLC. The game is new and already has 3 new car packs available for ten bucks each. Its a little pricey.
But try the game, its worth it, at 50 bucks, but I have seen it go on sale many times.
