One of the best platformers ever

nigel_t_e | Jan. 24, 2013 | Review of Sonic the Hedgehog Steam - PC

I always loved the original Sonic on the Megadrive, and this is a great way to play it on a PC. The game is emulated very faithfully, plus you can save your progress which is a nice addition. Xbox controller is fully supported. Obviously the graphics look blocky today but the gameplay is still great.

Pretty good in fact

nigel_t_e | May 19, 2011 | Review of Deus Ex Invisible War - PC

I seem to remember at the time this game was not that well received, and to be fair it isn't as exceptional as Deus Ex, but really considered in its own right it is not a bad game at all. It has some annoyances, in particular the frequent interruptions to load the next area, but I've found overall experience pretty engrossing.

I have spent many hours now on this game, and it is ridiculously good. It is hard, but the difficulty builds up well and the quick restart after dying keep you playing. There is so much care and imagination in the level design it is hard to believe. The game is also huge - something like 200 levels in the normal game - and there is now also 'super meat world' containing new uploaded levels. This is a truly classic game.

Nice route + DMU

nigel_t_e | May 19, 2011 | Review of RailWorks 2 EdinburghGlasgow Route - PC

This is a very nice route, reasonably long, with good detailed signalling. As the description says the scenery only really looks good from the cab as it is very minimal away from the track, but this does have the advantage that the route works much better on my PC than some others (eg WCML North). The included class 170 DMU makes this altogether a good package.
