This route features very realistic Edinburgh Waverly and Haymarket stations, I know this because I've seen them for myself. I can't vouch for Glasgow Queen St but I would doubt it hasn't been modelled correctly. The train that comes with this route is the Class 170, a diesel powered unit which has a nicely detailed cab. There's not much to complain about here except maybe the variety of scenarios, they are a bit bland and you feel like a change from the 170 runs. I would recommend getting addon scenarios from the likes of Armstrong Powerhouse so you get some mixed traffic and a variety of train skins too. A great route and plenty of stops along the way to keep you awake. Recommended.
best train sim but costly to runo0spyder0o | Sept. 23, 2013 | Review of Train Simulator 2013
Pity there's no real competition because the dlc for this game are too expensive. You can get whole games for what it costs to buy a route or train and on sales they selectively choose stuff that's been sitting still for a while. That said it is the best sim of its genre, even though that's because it's a two horse race really. Good game but be prepared to through money at it.
The best routeo0spyder0o | April 22, 2012 | Review of RailWorks 2: Portsmouth Direct Line Expansion Pack
Even after buying the Edinburgh to Glasgow route this one just has more 'feel' for it than that and other routes I own. First of all is the magnificent tutorial which gives you some interesting facts and history for the places and stations along the way. The trackside details are the best I've seen so far. The other thing is that stations aren't too far apart so you won't get bored of fields and grass scenery for too long. I think this route got it all right and the best news is that there's going to be an update which enchances the graphics in it to bring it to TS2012 specs, go get it.
