An overlooked gemparanoidandroid | April 8, 2014 | Review of Alpha Protocol
Take the choices and RPG elements of Mass Effect and the gameplay of Metal Gear Solid and you get Alpha Protocol.
A surprisingly good game with a dialogue tree and choice system that actually dramatically changes the story. It may, in fact, be the most dynamic choice system I have ever seen in a game before.
The story is your typical espionage story, but still very enjoyable. The stealth and shooting mechanics are both pretty well done and a wide variety of ways to complete a mission. This game may also have the distinction of the most OP pistol in a game ever. The first Halo has nothing on Alpha Protocol's pistol when the right perks are equipped, meaning you can finish any boss in a matter of seconds.
Overall, this overlooked game definitely deserves more attention as it really is a very unique.

This game has one of the best art directions I've ever seen and an engrossing story. If you like narrative-driven games, buy this. You will not be disappointed.
