Better than Call of Dutyphotochrisj87 | Aug. 23, 2013 | Review of Battlefield 3: Premium Edition (NA)
For a small price you get a good campaign, good music and great multiplayer that has a lot of depth, customization and larger and insane battles that makes you wonder if you'll make it through the battle.
A great deal you can't pass up on!
It doesn't get any better than this.photochrisj87 | Aug. 23, 2013 | Review of Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition (NA)
There really isn't anyway to start this review so Ill do my best -
Story - An epic storytelling that I believe is on par with Lord of the Rings. You play a character who is from the order of the Grey Warden, and you are to amass a giant army that comes from the alliances of different kingdoms and realms while also dealing with the political problems and relationships with your characters while fighting the hellspawn and the archdemon (an unbelievably strong and intelligent dragon). Months after you beat the game (DLC), you are continuing your journey across the lands, bringing order. The last DLC (in chronological order) has you settle your personal score with one of your former party members.
Gameplay - easy to play, easy to insanely difficult to beat. Quite the challenge you will find here. Decisions can be difficult.
Music - Memorable and really adds to the atmosphere, particularly the music you hear whenever you go to camp.
Visuals - while not on par with current gen graphics, it is forgivable but not as bad.
I found myself playing the game from beginning to end (Witch Hunt) and clocking in at 128 hours (with side quests). This game will definitely not disappoint for those who love a good story, good and balanced gameplay and an overall great RPG experience.
A good game with some problemsphotochrisj87 | Aug. 23, 2013 | Review of Resident Evil 6
The next installment of this game is always looked forward to by many in the community. As such, it has a lot to live up to. The 6th game attempts at that and does well, but does encounter its share of problems.
The game has you play four different story lines and all of them converge at the end in China. The characters must stop a mad villian who is attempting to destroy the world. The good parts of the game are the visuals, music, gameplay and difficulty. Everything flows very well. The bad part is the story and characters. When completing all the story and gaining the full picture of it, it seems like filler. Yes, a town is turned into zombies, a small unknown war is going on and a city in China is being descimated but it completely feels like filler - a side story that doesn't connect with the rest. The characters dont really shine much in the story, and they feel like they have went passed their time and glory but yet, they are thrown into the situations that they clearly feel tired of doing. The whole over the top personalities that Chris and Leon had are just down.
Overall, the game is good and fun but it has its problems.
The kind of fun you wont forget!photochrisj87 | Aug. 23, 2013 | Review of DmC: Devil May Cry
This is a reboot of the Devil may Cry series as told from a different studio. This game brings us Dante, a young half demon half angel who is out to defeat Mundus, a corporate demon who runs the world on greed and debt. This game does have some undertones that oozes from the real world such as the 1% people, corporate greed, anonymous, and evil corporations that only look out for themselves.
The visuals are very pretty, glitches are nonexistent, the choice for music is amazing (from the band Combichrist), and the story is what you'd expect from a Devil May Cry series. The gameplay is amazing and you can quickly become addicted to the combat system.
My only complaint is that some levels can really drag on.
Great game with great musicphotochrisj87 | Aug. 20, 2013 | Review of Max Payne 3
Max Payne is a man who has lost his life in the previous games. In this game, he has set out to another part of the world to start anew. What follows is a chaotic story in which Max Payne must save the day while dealing with his inner demons and flashing back in parts of time of how he made it to where he is today.
The gameplay is easy to pick up and get through. Simple enough and follows through like the old titles. Music is amazing and really well made. It makes you feel more engaged to the game. It shines a lot through the last part of the game, running through favelas and the flashback levels.
My only complaint is that it left unanswered questions from the second game, but overall, its still a good game on its own.
