Decent RPGronburgundy | May 26, 2013 | Review of The Last Remnant
This game does feature some cool concepts, and a good combat system, but it is very tactical and requires thought to do well in combat. The story is essentially useless, and the characters are annoying. Decent graphics with nice framerates bumps this game up a few points. The long-term idea of this game is what makes it nice. It has crafting, tons of side quests and so many more things to do to make this game last long, that is of course if you enjoy it. Just remember, it is a JRPG, you have to like the genre in order to enjoy this game.
IT'S BEJEWELED!ronburgundy | May 11, 2013 | Review of Bejeweled 3 (NA)
Look, this is just bejewled all over again. Same game, same fun, same addiction. Some fun new modes, but it is still the same game you loved for years now. It's good for a laptop game, for something you can play while on the run, or just killing a little bit of time. Of course, the obvious downfall is origin, nobody likes it, it's intrusive, but if you like bejeweled, you can look past it for this iteration. For the price, it's worth it, and is an enjoyable, yet addictive game. So if you liked Bejeweled 1, or 2, then you will for sure enjoy the newest entry in the series, I mean, how much can they really change?
It's A Good Shmupronburgundy | May 11, 2013 | Review of Sine Mora
This game is quite the fun little shmup. On PC, you are not going to get a better one right now, and if you are a fan of the genre, then this is a definite must. I would not suggest playing with the keyboard, for obvious reasons, so if you own a good gamepad, then this game will be exponentially more enjoyable. It introduces some neat ideas, such as "no-lives" where you just use time, and must complete the level before it runs out. It's a bullet heaven game, and be prepared to dodge a whole bunch of dots, but you already know that if you're a shmup fan.
This Is The Second Best Superhero Game Everronburgundy | May 11, 2013 | Review of Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year -
The only reason this is second best is because it is slightly behind Arkham City. Rocksteady has made such amazing Batman games, and they are now my absolute favourite superhero games ever. They do Batman right in combining awesome combat mechanics, a great story, amazing voice acting, and best of all, kick ass gadgets. Arkham Asylum starts off a little bit slow, but quickly escalates into a game of epic proportions as you really feel like you are the Dark Knight. Some of the puzzles are a little lackluster, but that is made unimportant because of the fighting system in this game. It really makes you want to achieve higher and higher combos because its unbelievably enjoyable. The best Batman game ever, bar none.
Really Isn't Worth Itronburgundy | May 5, 2013 | Review of Krater - Collector's Edition
This game seems like a cool concept, and a decent overall game from screenshots and gameplay videos. But when you really approach the game and play it for some hours, it becomes a boring left click fest. D2 was a left click fest a lot of the time, but it made left-clicking extremely fun and exhilarating. This game did neither of those things. It's environments are okay, I thought they would be more interesting based on the premise of the game, but again they were not what was expected. It has it's moments, but overall it just really isn't fun to have an ARPG with 3 characters to control.
Get It Right Nowronburgundy | May 5, 2013 | Review of XCOM: Enemy Unknown (NA) -
This game has extreme depth. It has a super strategic combat mode, with an amazing sim overlay to the entire game. Each choice will drastically influence your gameplay, which of course would lead to much replay value. Most missions are based on your choice, your army based on your choice, your experience is completely in your hands. This game deserves every penny you can pay for it and lives up to its years of hype. Do yourself a favor and get this game because it will provide you with hours of entertainment, and a great attachment to your characters. The critic reviews were bang on for the most part with this game, and it is deserves its' praise.
