Two great games in onetayfuntuna | May 10, 2013 | Review of Just Cause Pack
...and the price is the best. The first Just Cause can be played even on few years old laptop. Just Cause 2 requires DX10 and that means Vista and above.
Both game could get repetitive and ordinary at times, still they're among the best sandbox action games ever made.
It's like more serious than Saint's Row, but more fantastic than GTA series.
Fun You Can't Misstayfuntuna | May 10, 2013 | Review of GRID -
If you enjoyed DIRT and said "I wish I could drive like this in a street race", this is what you need. With a steering wheel it becomes so realistic that it gets harder to drive good and win. The flashback option is nice, but it's kinda like a cheat.
Grid 2 is on the horizon, but this is a good alternative since it is so cheap. If you enjoy this kind of games, you could also try Shift + Shift 2.
Underrated because of it's flawstayfuntuna | May 10, 2013 | Review of Condemned: Criminal Origins
There's the game I cannot forget. Condemned, while being linear, made me play and finish itself several times. The main reason is that even after playing few times, there will be moments where you can be scared and shocked because you get hit by the thugs when you least expect.
Condemned is among the best Brutal-Melee-FPS games and since there aren't a lot them around, it's just engaging and thrilling.
Downsides? Our main character, Ethan, is so slow that he can't even jump. This is the exact opposite of Mirror's Edge, you can't even run for a long time. But ripping off the metro sign and smashing the enemies' heads? Sir yes sir!
Some games are unforgettabletayfuntuna | May 10, 2013 | Review of Tomb Raider II
I remember like it happened yesterday: There I was, unboxing my first PlayStation and with it I had the Tomb Raider II. I didn't even know what it was about, and I was just 10 years old. After the short intro, I saw Lara for the first time. She could swim, dive, jump, climb and that first level was an unforgettable experience for me.
This second game of the series has a great loneliness and danger feeling weaved into it. Level design was (and still is) among the most clever and beautiful designs I've ever seen. Basicly it was all cubic landscape and buildings, yet each and every level had a soul that you could feel.
The Tomb Raider series are notorious for their bad camera angles and poor controls, still it's among the most thrilling adventures ever made. At this price, you can't just ignore it.
A good westerntayfuntuna | May 7, 2013 | Review of Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood
Bound in Blood is a perfectly fine game for those who are hungry for western shooters. All is there: Guns, rifles, bows, dynamites, horses and even duels.
The character models are not so realistic, but the level design is impressive. Prologue missions are dull, but the game gets better as you play and there even is a point where you can choose between a few mission. Shortly, the game begins like a Call of Duty and slowly moves on to Red Dead Redemption.
Purchasing Gunslinger had let me own this fun for free, and it's a great game to play while waiting for Gunslinger.
