Pros: + Gorgeous graphics and cinematic + Engaging story + Refreshing combat system; compared to older titles Cons: - Only 720p resolution without using mods - The game shuts itself down when you press ESC - The game pace doesn't pick up until a couple of chapters If you are a fan of boring side quests, then FFXIII is not for you. Linearity is not a bad thing, especially when you have a game with a solid plot and supporting cast.

I can see why many love this game. Combat is not spammy nor twitchy, and it requires a great deal of timing and strategy. This game has a very steep learning curve. It can be frustrating dying left and right at the beginning. In terms of looks and polish, the game is solid and it runs well even on my old computer. Content-wise, there isn't a whole lot. Every player is mostly pre-occupied with slaying the heck out of each other. In my honest opinion, this game is worth a try, but ultimately not worth the full price.
