Nice expansion to a great sim game. The DLC is essentially a map expansion pack. From that perspective it's a bit one-sided, as no new trucks or gameplay elements are introduced.
However it is a nice chunk of new content with lots of new, nicely detailed cities, and new countries. If you're into the base game, it's well worth the money.
Excellent Simwarnold | May 7, 2013 | Review of Euro Truck Simulator 2
If you're into driving/trucks/simulator at all, even just a little, you will need to pick this up. It's a genuinely relaxing to do a quick run with some cargo from city to city. The fact that you can stream radio channels for a more authentic/fun driving experience is also awesome!
Controllers are not mapped too well out of the box, but once you map out your buttons it works really well with the game. Highly recommended over kb+m.
To sum this up: Great game, nice graphics. What a relaxing ride :)
not badwarnold | May 2, 2013 | Review of The Lord of the Rings: War in the North
I mistakenly thought the game was open world - it's not. It's very much level-based. The graphics, voice acting, etc are alright, and co-op makes it fun if played with a friend. However the game did not live up to my expectations. Still, likely worth it if you're a LOTR fan, and buy it with realistic expectations.
Good atmospherewarnold | April 28, 2013 | Review of The Cave
I've been waiting for this game as a fan of the point and click adventures by Ron Gilbert. The game's sense of humor, as well as the settings, and the overall atmosphere are great. However, without an inventory the puzzles tend to be a bit on the easy side. Another issue that others have mentioned as well is too much backtracking. It's no fun to run through a huge level for the 4th time to pick up that one item, then all the way back with it...
The game's built to encourage multiple playthroughs to get all character's stories and endings, but tbh I did not feel like starting over after my first playthrough.
Overall, not a bad game, if you pick it up for a few bucks.
