A Hell of a lot of fun

wetsoks | Nov. 11, 2013 | Review of Painkiller: Hell & Damnation

A modern "old-school" shooter with amazing visuals, frantic game-play, epic boss fights, and sweet weapons. The enemies and weapons are greatly varied, keeping the game fresh as well. The only set-back is the story and voice acting, which, only happens during cut-scenes. All-in-all, if you're a "game-play over story" kind of person, this game is for you.

Great Zoo Tycoon Alternative

wetsoks | Nov. 11, 2013 | Review of Zoo Empire

Who would've thought a budget game would actually be above decent? A blatant rip-off of Zoo Tycoon 1, this game is perfect for what it sets out to be. Better graphics then Zoo Tycoon 1, and a somewhat more "fresh" feel. However, there are better zoo sim games like the Zoo Tycoon franchise and even the wildlife park franchise. But if you cannot find the games mentioned above, or just want a cheaper alternative, this game is for you.

Brilliant

wetsoks | Oct. 25, 2013 | Review of Primal Carnage

Dinosaurs versus humans in multi-player class based team death match. This game is a lot of fun, and gets a lot of things right. The classes are well balanced, and the servers are still plentiful. What throws this game off though is the maps and the dinosaurs. The maps are very bland and all look alike. The dinosaurs, on the other hand, are hard to control sometimes. Its understandable in some of the more complicated classes, but playing as the intro class can be very hard due to control hiccups.

Completely Blew Me Away

wetsoks | Oct. 25, 2013 | Review of Hitman: Absolution

Personally, I'm not a fan of stealth games, but Hitman: Absolution blew my expectations out of the water. It has fun characters, great locales, level design and even a pretty decent story that keeps you intrigued. The game-play is top notch and very rewarding, and if you try to complete the whole game, be prepared to invest tons of hours. What sets this game back though is the story. While engaging, it feels flat at times, and the characters are what make the story for me.

Game of the Year?

wetsoks | Oct. 20, 2013 | Review of Tomb Raider

Definitely one of the best games I've played all year. Game-play is top notch, the progression through the game feels very fitting and natural, and the tombs are a lot of fun to raid. With so much to do in this game, you'll be busy for a while. Optional tombs, stat and weapon enhancements and collectibles that offer tons of back-story, are all fitting and enjoyable ways to spend some of your time. The story is brilliant and very eerie at times, but seems to fall apart at the end.

One of the best games

wetsoks | Oct. 20, 2013 | Review of Sid Meier's Civilization® V

This game is so fun and addictive, it will literally suck up tons of hours. Game-play is easy to learn, and is very rewarding. The mods the community also make for this game add even more hours of enjoyment. My only gripe with this game is some parts of the diplomatic sections, such as alliances, but overall, does not hold the game back too much.
