Satire at its finest

xborcx | April 18, 2014 | Review of DLC Quest - PC

There's no denying that gaming from the days of yore and modern times are two entirely different beasts. For better or worse, the days of buying a game and that being the end product are behind us. Now, a game is shipped and its very rare that there isn't day one DLC right out of the gate. This game does a great job at poking fun at what has become industry standard and provides fun, albeit shallow platforming. The game is pretty short, which is good because any longer and it would wear out it's welcome. For the price its a good deal, on sale its a steal.

A game that is sure to move you

xborcx | April 16, 2014 | Review of Half Life 2 Episode 2 - PC

This This game hit me so hard. I have been a fan of the Half Life series since it first hit the scene and was pretty excited when Valve decided to take the series in an episodic route. Half Life 2 was just so captivating and the environment so believable. The gameplay was top notch and the story compelling. When Episode 1 hit I wanted more and man I think we all get more than we could handle with Episode 2. The story in this game packed such a bunch and then the end comes and it is still one of the most heartbreaking things I have seen in gaming. Typing this out and reflecting on this game is giving me chills. Absolutely get this game, and absolutely join us all in the insanity that is waiting for the next installment.

Hands down one of the best games ever made

This game is something special. Games have no doubt always been entertaining, but this game is a clear case for blurring the line between just being a game and being art. The fact that you and I are going to take away a different story through our play throughs and be able to have an engaging conversation about that is just stellar. Add to that the game itself is fun and a really amazing story, you have yourself a winning combo and its something that everyone should check out.
