The Explosive Combat pack adds a single costume and a single weapon, while there are a massive amount of unique and interesting clothes and weapons to collect in the base game. This DLC is poor.

Explosive Combat is an other DLC for Saints Row you can skip. There is no reason to pay that price only for a weapon and an outfit, even if they are good
For it's price you get a very nice suite and a strong weapon.arkantos | Aug. 2, 2012 | See all arkantos's reviews »
For it's price it gives a very nice suite and a strong weapon to use against you own enemies, if you got some money to spare and it's on sale get it.

What does this DLC add? This DLC adds a fully-armored future soldier outfit and a fully-closed piece of headgear, similiar to that of Shazbot. Oh, there's a backpack you can wear, as well, full of useful items in combat, that you can't actually use, since it's cosmetic.
But that is not all, it also does add a piece of weaponry, that is the M2 Grenade Launcher. While I do not understand the need for a grenade launcher of it's own, since you can get one on your assault rifle by upgrading it, it does feel neat, I'll give it that. However, it uses the same slot as the RPG, and I find RPG to be much more useful, especially at long ranges, especially with the heat-seeking upgrades.
I would not recommend this DLC, while the outfit is not bad, and it does have some bad coloring, this DLC does not bring the bang for your buck.
