Seperate "should be" standalone DLC

First of all this DLC is just a single player experience for the game. Meaning it doesn't have multiplayer, the ability to use your created character, nor the ability to carry what you found in this DLC to your existing Dead Island character. This DLC talks about the event prior to what happened in Dead Island, if you are really interested in the story then get it otherwise stay away from it. This DLC last around 2 to 4 hours so it is not really worth it unless you are interested in the back story.

An average-bad DLC, no multiplayer.

I loved Dead Island. It's one of my favourite games of 2011. Getting back to the DLC, one of the worst points about it, is that it has no coop. Ryder White is single-player only. Remember one of Dead Island's best features - it had a really balanced skill tree and a lot of RPG elements. All of that is gone. Ryder White gives you a fixed skill-tree and player level. There is still weapon crafting and management, but since they do not carry to the main game, there is no point to grind for them. The level design, even though diverse, and with beautiful graphics, is linear. Most missions are the usual A-B corridor ones. The Ryder White DLC removes most of the things that made Dead Island special and good. Also, it's only 3 hours. The only good thing about this is that you're killing zombies. If it's under 5 dollars you can consider buying this, but otherwise not.
