Reviews for Magicka: Lonely Island Cruise DLC
Don't get it, unless you want the "complete game"Donrenegade | Jan. 19, 2013 | See all Donrenegade's reviews »
Ok I received this DLC on steam years ago as a present from getting certain achievements, so for me it was free. This DLC is one map, and that's it. It's fun that you can destroy the railings and that a small map like this allows you to blow others into the water, but that does not justify a price tag of 2 euros. Played this one twice and never touched it again. Unless you want the "complete game", get this when it's on sale. If not, stay away from it.
Very enjoyable map!DonVercetti | Jan. 19, 2013 | See all DonVercetti's reviews »
Another Magicka DLC named Lonely Island Cruise, This content adds a map for the player vs. player part of Magicka. When I got this and played it with friends, I had quite an enjoyable time. It's not the biggest map, it's also surrounded by water and there's a little pool in the middle. With alot of explosive spells and mines ready, I'll guarantee you'll have a very fun time with this little DLC package. Be sure to get it in a 50% off sale or something, because 2 euro's for just this map is a bit high in price.

The lonely island cruise map is small which means there's no room for escape. I was not a fan of magicka's pvp as it got very repetitive seeing my brother kept blocking my attacks from a far but with this map that no longer became a problem as he found it hard to keep his distance. This map made the pvp so much more fun as it allowed me to close the gap between the both of us, not by much, but enough for me to start using closer range attacks. Magicka's pvp is not the best by far and unless you have a brother or friend to play it with then you won't get much laughs out of it at all but because I do have a brother it's provided hundreds of laughs and gasps between us.
