One of the most solid adventure games in a loooonng time. Beautiful HD comic book style artwork and a moderate difficulty sets this apart from the many casual seek and find games nowadays. This has a huge dose of the Gabriel knight days for those of us who loved playing them. Really engaging story that is definately for 16+ age groups only - not only for violence and language, but the plot twists and turns can really only be appreciated by this age, to be honest. Maybe because I was enjoying it so much the time flew and the game was over a little sooner than I would have liked, but overall I love this studio and I need a sequel to this game pronto. But it now!
A good game but...Zinzun | Aug. 23, 2012 | See all Zinzun's reviews »
From the developers of Runaway Trilogy and Hollywood Monster 1 and 2 (aka The Next Big Thing),Yesterday is a good game, with an interesting and "adult" plot (a new element for the software house).Sadly, the game is very short:it can be completed in two hours with no trouble. Puzzle are very easy, and if you really stuck on them there is a hint system that can help you out. There are several endings (one, the funniest,is secret),but you can view them all simply repeating the last section of the game. Good but only if you can take it for lower price.
Professional but very short.scottnat | April 13, 2012 | See all scottnat's reviews »
As with all Pendulo Studios adventure games Yesterday is beautiful to look at. It's got a nice flow, well written with a nice little twist quite early and not too many illogical puzzles - i was only stumped by one or two.
But there's a downside and it's a fairly significant one - the game is very short. I mean even by 'short game' standards this one is short. Think i was done start to finish in three hours. It's a fun ride and worthwhile but only i'd suggest if it's on sale (in terms of value) or if a very quick little adventure is what you seek.
