This is a game which really knows how to pay homage to one of the greats of adventure gaming, and does it very well, too. Captain Morgane and the Golden Turtle has hours upon hours of fun, classic gameplay buried under an exterior modeled so closely on that of the old Monkey Island games, you'd swear that's who provided the visuals.
The story is absolutely fantastic, and classic pirate gaming fare. You follow the life story of the Caribbean's first female pirate, and nothing but wackiness and general insanity can but hope to ensue. Every single character is memorable, right from the main one on down to the guy you'll only chat once with.
Puzzles are intricate and varied, ensuring you won;t see too many of a similar type in a short span of time. They are often difficult, but not so much so that you'll give up in frustration. The mini games are always good fun, and I often found myself failing them because I was laughing a little too much to be paying attention.
If you're even remotely interested in pirates, get this one. You won't be regretting it.

The first thing you will notice, is that Capitan Morgane is beautiful. The visual style is Monkey Island 3-ish and really digs you in. The story is awesome. It really hooks you. It's a little stereotypical but interesting nonetheless. But the game is a slowburner. You will spend the first hour bored to hell. But the Second Chapter kicks off nicely and adds a whole lot of fun. There are lot of places to explore and the puzzles are creative. If you like adventure games, get Captain Morgane. You will not be disappointed.
