do not get it

The final chapter of Mass Effect Trilogy is not what it should be. It feels like a completely different game than what other Mass Effect games were. Interesting and long missions turned into "protect me" or "do some fetch quests". No longer do you really explore. No longer does the missions include actual socializing and complex stories. Plenty of missions in this one were reduced to either getting an item at the end of a room filled with bad guys, or protecting someone as they get to do something awesome while you get to shoot some bad guys. Less team members. Team members from the last games are seen for a very brief amount of time. Like for example Legion that you saved at the end of Mass Effect 2. You see him for one mission and then he goes off. The same holds true for every other character of Mass Effect 2. Developers did not know how to tie in the amount of choices that you had in Mass Effect 2, so they simplified it. They most definitely shouldn't have. Multiplayer is a con. How can that be one might say. Well easy - nothing that you do in single player counts. How much forces you have fighting the reapers in the end is completely dependent on how much of the multiplayer you'll play. The ending. The ending makes no sense. It's a big gaping plothole. Best to imagine that your character just died in the previous installment. Perhaps Mass Effect 4 will fix the series, however as this one goes - pretend that it does not exist.

That ending though...

The final in the chapter where you control Shephard and your team saving the world. Again there are lots of choices, decisions and of course action included in this finale. A rather nice mix of action and adventure, while it tries to tie up the loose ends. Mutiplayer and co-op is included A worthy end to the trilogy.
