Reviews for Battlefield 3 Premium Service
Sad but needed.RicBac | Aug. 23, 2013 | See all RicBac's reviews »
When Battlefield 1942 came out it a tons of maps and content from the start. Battlefield 3 didn't.
When you played the original Battlefield 3, you feel like there is something missing. And the premium service fills that up quite good. But you have to pay what you paid for the game itself. And that's just the shitty model EA has these Days. Release an unfished game and make the players pay for content that should have been there from the start. At least most of it.
So is it Worth it. Yes and no. It's alot of Money for not so much content, but you need the content to make the game complete.
If you like Battlefield 3 and have't bought the expantions, do it. At least half of it is great.

Buy this service only if you play a lot multiplayer. It is very convenient because it includes all the dlc come out so far. Adds new maps, weapons, vehicles and new game modes than the basic version of Battlefield 3.

The Battlefield 3 "Premium" is a must have for all FPS lovers. If you loved Battlefield 3 you cannot miss this DLC pack. It has so much added value adding to the retail game huge variety of maps and game modes. It has 5 DLC and each one contains 4 additional maps. The 5 DLC are very various and you won't regret one cent of what you have spent. It is worth to mention the DLC "Armored Kill" which cannot be missed by all battlefield lovers with great very big maps with excellent graphics and all-out vehicle warfare. You will be astonished when you will see the map "Albors Mountain". This Premium version of Battlefield add also a lot of different features such as new vehicles, new weapons and new achievements that will keep you playing even more. If you have Battlefield 3 and you enjoyed its multiplayer, buy this "Premium" straight away and you will not regret it.

This is a great addition to a game. It includes all five DLC packs. Tons of maps, weapons, and new gameplay modes, too. Servers are still as populated as they were when the game launched. For those worried that gameplay will fizzle out after BF4 comes out, don't worry. There are still those playing BF2. With the price of both the copy of the game and premium coming out, there is lots of new players joining in the action. A great addition to an already great game.

As a addicted player since the very first 1942 title I'm somewhat disappointed in which direction the series is going.
This title is still good, fun and addictive. It looks and plays wonderfully though I have the feeling it's forgetting its own roots.
It simply is too fast paced and not teamwork heavy enough for being a true Battlefield title and sadly you feel that they wanted to appeal to the CoD fanbase way too much.
I still have fun playing it but it's a rather disappointing title in the series.

Battlefield 3 premium represent the best FPS multiplayer experience on PC, and with the premium content it will continue to increase the variety and the amount of maps also in the end of 2012. Battlefield 3 are fun if you cooperate with the other players in your team. With the various expansion pack the variety of the maps is very good and can change from the small map of the Close Quarter pack to the large map where you can use many different kind of vehicles in the Armored Kill pack. There is also a single player mode, but it's really short and you can use it as a training for the multiplayer sessions. Battlefield 3 was the best FPS in winter 2011 and with the additional content of the premium edition can remain the best also in 2012

Buy this premium pack only if you really love multiplayer section of Battlefield 3. It includes all the DLC with early access, new challenge and the possibility to join exclusive tournaments. There isn't any other stuff, but if you spend a lot of time on multi, it might worth it.
Great value in the long run.ThomasG101 | Aug. 30, 2012 | See all ThomasG101's reviews »
I know £40 is a bit much to fork out for DLC but for me it's a no-brainer. I love BF3 and wanted more. I already had the back to karkand maps from my limited edition pre-order copy and to be honest I didn't really enjoy them any more than the normal maps. The close quarters maps on the other hand are far better, obviously the maps are small but are great fun and the game mode 'Gun Master' (a rip off of CoD's Gun Game) adds something unseen before to battlefield without detracting from the experience. With 3 map pack to come and Armored Kill looking promising I would have to recommend premium to any fan of Battlefield 3. If you were to add up the costs of buying all 5 DLC individually you save a lot by getting premium.
