Reviews for Need for Speed: Shift Classics

Tries too hard to be realistic

At the lower level cars the game is a pleasure to play but as soon as you begin using the faster cars and adding upgrades the driving experience is far too twitchy and sensitive. When turning a corner your car will either drive as it should or just slide off the track entirely, even when slowing at corners. As the career progressed I began to lose interest. However, the graphics are nice and the sounds of the cars are brilliant. Plug a set of headphones in to the TV and you will be amazed at the realism. The blur effect when reaching higher speed was nice at first but eventually just became distracting.
