Reviews for Crusader Kings II: Songs of the Caliph

This and Songs of Byzantium are probably the essential music DLCs. The middle eastern songs really enhance the immersion. The vanilla songs really feel awkward when playing a Muslim. An extra song would have been nice, however.

Songs of the Caliph DLC for Crusader Kings II adds two wonderful themed songs for playing as a middle eastern Muslim ruler in the Sword of Islam expansion DLC. They really add to the musical variety of the game (which, while containing good tracks, could use more) and immersion. My real problem is that this is only two songs, I really wouldn't mind having a few more but at least it isn't as limited as EUIII!

This is a DLC that include two epic-sounding middle-eastern styled songs composed by Andreas Waldetoft, who worked on the soundtrack of Victoria 2, Europa Universalis 3 and some other Paradox games. The only bad thing is that you must own both the game and the expansion that introduces the Muslim civilization to buy and use this DLC.
