Reviews for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Dawnguard (EU)
Must have DLC though a bit high pricedtoolz | Sept. 3, 2012 | See all toolz's reviews »
After playing Skyrim for so long I was waiting for some new content (not counting all the mods). The Dawnguard DLC adds some fun new features to the game. New quest, items, spells and abilities. For Skyrim lovers it's a must have. For "regular" Skyrim players it still could have been a must have if not for the current price. Wait for a price drop and I would recommend this DLC for anyone who owns Skyrim.
Is dawnguard a good piece of DLC?karnage10 | Aug. 11, 2012 | See all karnage10's reviews »
the dawnguard expansion focuses on vampires. In a nutshell you have two main questlines and you can only do one. you can either be a vampire Lord or a vampire hunter.each lasts around 15 hours plus extra time for secondary and radiant quests. on top of all of this you get a new weapon, a crossbow. this weapon works similar to bow except that it is easier to aim since the arrow goes in a more straight line but it takes a bit longer to reload.you will also have access to new buff and armours for each side of the conflict. Another point of interest is Serana one of the best chars Bethesda has created. her interactions with the players chars is just outstanding. in a nutshell dawnguard is a must buy for skyrim fans. if you are either bored of skyrim or don't care much about vampires then i sugest to wait until the price drops. this expansion isn't as impressive as shivering isles but it sure impressed me.

Dawnguard doesn't expand on the otherwise huge Skyrim too much. It offers you the chance to become either a vampire, or fight against then as one of the Vanguards, but this DLC feels rushed, and just as buggy as any other Bethesda game. The price point is just too steep for the amount of content you get, so I'd suggest to only get it if you are a die-hard Skyrim fan.
Great DLC for a great game!sanyi777 | Aug. 6, 2012 | See all sanyi777's reviews »
Dawnguard is a DLC that Skyrim fans will buy immediately, but i think 20 € is a bit expensive for that. The expansion has got two ways, the Dawnguard's and the Vampires'. The Dawnguard is a vampire hunter clan, and it has got a new main feature: the crossbow. The new ranged weapon is better than normal bows, but it's slower. The Vampire side is more exiting, because if you chose their way you will become a Vampire Lord, and this is where the fun begins. You will get new spells, such as drain life, some new illusions and summons. If you like Skyrim you won't regret buying Dawnguard, but I think you should wait until the price lowers.
