This is an interesting little racing game, you control an RC car which makes the levels somewhat unique and interesting, because pretty much everything is rather big compared to you. Most of the time your biggest enemy will be the traps the developers laid out throughout the maps and not the actual opponents you race agains. These "traps" include humans waling through beacher, rollerskaters in the pavements or regular-sized traffic on the roads for example. There's really only one thing they messed up real bad in this game and it's the physics. It's often completely unpredictable, you can get stuck in a small rock where other times you could just drive through easily, things like that. Nevertheless i'd still recommend the game, it's quite unique and entertaining.
Best retro racer on GMGfaraany3k | Aug. 24, 2011 | See all faraany3k's reviews »
I have played quite a few retro racing games available on GMG store. And RC Cars is undoubtedly the most fun in my opinion. Game features an interesting twist on the genre. Instead of traditional racing cars, game features toy cars which we have to race in a number of interesting real life settings like a road with all the giant traffic cars and huge canyons. RC cars are all off road and really captures the off road feel with its capable physics engine. Game also features lots of unlockables and a gradual progression of unlocks that keeps the game feel fresh. You can also race with your ghosts for best lap times. Really a good retro arcade racer for everyone.
Re-Volt reloaded?kmpt | April 10, 2011 | See all kmpt's reviews »
It's a funny racing game, with a total arcade driving mode. When I launched the game for the first time I thought that it's a second part of Re-Volt. Both games give us oportunity to controll toy radio cars which compete in racing on various tracks. Racing are fine but a bit difficult. Graphic isn't good but it's understandable. I can recommend this game for everybody who is looking for an 'old school' arcade racing game.
