A totally new vision on WWII, unlike Call Of Duty and Medal Of Honor, Brothers in Arms puts you into a realistic battlefield in which you have to plan your moves to avoid casualties and learn how to get tactical advantages upon your opponent. Great attention has been put into characters development to recreate the feeling of a real squad with different personalities, feelings and situations. I particulary recomend this game not only for the good gameplay, but also because it will make you feel like a real captain and will make you sad if you lose a men in the battle. Very few games can actually achieve that.

Awesome game

Brother in Arms remains a unique experience and a more realistisc WWII shooter is hard to get. The fear when a Tiger rumbles around the corner, the terrible feeling when a team mate disappears from the storyline because he got shot, and the incredible realistic feeling of the weapons make Brothers in Arms a great game. Running through a trench, because Brother in Arms is mainly outside, gives you a great feeling. You see a German, look through your iron sight, and see how he is gunned down. For the multiplayer, don't buy it (pretty non existent), but it's an amazing game worth playing.

This game is a must have for anyone who loves the WW2. Moreover, if you liked series such as Band of brothers and you want to experience the same atmosphere as an actor and not only a spectator, go ahead, this game was made for you. Graphics are good, maybe a little old now but still good. Gameplay is awesome and much more realistic than COD or MOH. You need to use cover and suppression fires to progress, you can't avoid it. Weapons aren't as precise as COD but it feel much more realistic too. The characters feel liveful and the storyline strongly reminds the best film or series about this conflict. This is a great game.

A complex tactical shooter

Brothers in Arms is the first title of a good series of tactical shooter. This game is really a complex FPS. Before you move and attack an enemy you must plan your moves and remember that a small error will bring you to certain death. During the game you are not alone and you can give orders to other soldiers that will help you in your missions. The story of the game is really good if compared to the one of other WWII shooters The AI of your companion and of the enemies is good and if you play the game at the maximum difficulty level you will have to face an hard challenge, but the game is never frustating. This game is recommended for hardcore gamers who want to try a challenging game.

Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 - review

Brothers in Arms is detached from the prototype FPS set in World War II. In reality BiA, in terms of the gameplay, can be more appropriately matched to products in which the tactic plays a role of primary importance. The tactical element is so important that programmers have correctly implemented the ability to view the battlefield from above in a sort of strategic map where we can see all the locations of our men and those opponents, in addition to possible shelters the best way to study the movements to be made. The campaign is expected to be rather short, there's bound to consider, however, that he failed attempts you will have to suffer so much so that many programmers are well thought out to give all the energy and supplies of bullets in case the life of your alter digital ego is interrupted for more than three times at the same point of the mission. In this way it is easy in front of the frustration that could affect the players (especially those less accustomed to tactics and strategy) in BiA, the game certainly is not easy even for the extreme realism of the functionality of arms: aim at the enemy then it will not automatically we have seen in the hands, arms '40s. And then, despite being a tactical game, where most firefights take place over long distances, there will be more action and adrenaline situations in which even the reflections will count a lot. Brothers in Arms has some wonderful texture for the faces of the soldiers and environments amplissime not even require specific hardware too exorbitant, but the title Ubisoft affected too old of a graphics engine. This does not mean that it is a bad game to watch, anything (because there are exciting moments film), but it pales in comparison with the giants in the field of current FPS in terms of technology.

The War from a different perspective.

This game based in the World War II has elements from the movie "Saving Private Ryan", it has a story that focus more in the characters and their relations that adds drama, also it is more realistic than other FPS because you aren't a supersoldier. The game is a little old and the graphics maybe are outdated but they don't look bad and the sound is outstanding, with a lot of explosions everywhere that makes you feel a real war. This game is hard, you will die a lot but the game it's not impossible, even I recommend to play it in "very hard" to maximise the immersion, you will need to do tactical stuff if you want win. If you want a different World War II game, pick this game.
