Started strong and then faded

I loved the base Darksiders II game - so the Season Pass could only make it better, right? Well, it started off adding fun new quests and characters to interact with - but the final DLC was only like 30 minutes long and was super easy. You will likely be at the level cap by the time you get to the final DLC - so the loot is pretty much worthless.

The DLC honestly didn't add much to the game play experience. it only was more of a "Yeah lets just play a different campaign". I wasn't very pleased with it. I enjoyed Darksiders 1 A LOT and 2 was a bit of a disappointment overall. I don't recommend buying this DLC unless you just want maybe a couple of hours of extra gameplay. Other than that it's not that worth it, IMO.

Not a must to get for the saving on individual

The season pass offers 2 content DLC and 1 armor DLC, the content DLC itselfs are $10 per so it will result in a $20 price if you do not care about the cosmetic Maker armor DLC. It is recommended to get it whenever you feel like it.

As for the content itself, at the moment only the Maker armors and the Abyssal Forge is out for the season pass. The armors will become obsolete depending on your level

The Abyssal Forge DLC is the same as other DLC by THQ, not enough content, it packs 2 bosses, 2 dungeons, and around 2-3 hours of additional gameplay.

The final piece of the season pass is not out at the point of this review but regardless not worth getting the season pass just for that last part assuming that the DLC is good. If you are a big Darksiders 2 fans, then I would highly recommend you getting it when it is 75% off or get it whenever you feel like it and not make an immediate purchase or you will be disappointed.

Only a pass as many others

As for Borderlands 2 (and for Assassin's Creed 3),the new trend is make this "season" pass where essentially you preorder (and pre-pay) future DLC. This one will gives you access to two future DLC,the Abissal Forge one and Lord Demon Belial one. The DLC are not out,so no ones can say if this pass it's worth it. My advise is:buy it if you enjoyed Darksiders 2,but whait if you didn't like it very much. This way there will be some reviews about DLC and so you can choose if buy it or not.
