Reviews for Ravaged: Zombie Apocalypse
Multiplayer without players.Furrek | July 31, 2014 | See all Furrek's reviews »
Not exacly, but it's almost dead game. Ravaged: Zombie Apocalypse have a few nice multiplayer modes, but if you ever want try to play with someone, you are forced to play one, where you collect gasoline and try to run away from map filled with dangerous zombies. The maps are quite big, so you will need a vehicles to move around, but these also need something to run on, so you can be unlucky and in middle of ride your fuel can just end. There are many weapons which you can use to kill our dead friends - but like usually in big maps filled with zombies, sniper rifle is my favorite. The only bad thing is, the shooting doesn't feel right. You can compare it to bad shooting system like it is in this famous Aliens game made by Gearbox. Is this game worth buying? Nope. You can skip this one and look around for better games like that, because there are plenty of them.
A true gem that is sadly forgotten.Nekrage | Aug. 6, 2013 | See all Nekrage's reviews »
Ravaged provides a healthy amount of features that every shooter should have. -Leveling -Vehicle Use(Helicopters as well) -Unlocks -Customization -Multiple game modes
Unfortunately, due to the low population of the game it's pretty hard to find a decent amount of players to play some matches with.

The game itself is worth the money, because it's cheap. Overal the gameplay is a little hard to play. The vehicles are made well. There are alot of glitches in this game. The online servers are dead, you're lucky if you find a server. I would suggest picking this up on a sale.

This game is only good if you have a full server of co-operative team members. Otherwise it's just a hectic fail of a multiplayer match. Unfortunately neither of those two can be found today. No one plays this anymore, don't get it.

Ravaged is one of the most fun Multiplayer game played that "reboot" games like Battlefield 1942 / Battlefield 2 / Desert Combat. In this game the Skill of the players really matters with all the stuff around, like weapons, vehicles, helicopters, pre-fire, reflex, etc etc. - also you will need to cooperate to win a Match. If you go Lonewolf or the team goes completely random, you lose the match in a couple of Minutes. Yeah there are some bugs in the game, but the game got HIGH potentials for the Competitive zone and the Developers support the Community, not like the other SH that doesn't care about the Community ( " shut up and give us the money " style ). People who complain about this game and give 0 Score it's because they probably sucked at this game and/or they are noob. Reading people that said " omg this game sucks because you can't hit " - " omg this game sucks because i can't fly with the helicopter " - just ignore them, since the Heli is the HARDEST vehicle to use in Ravaged and need lot of time on It and the part for the Hits, well, get aim and you will get Kills. The Sniper Rifle have the Bullet Drop and with 2 Hits in the body kills, 1 in the head (headshot) one-shot, from distances you need to calibrate the shot and pre-fire it (ie: if u shoot the bullet doesn't hit in that instant moment like actual noob cod games). Don't forget that the 2Dawn Team release TOTALLY FREE DLC, with new weapons, vehicles, maps and game modes - i repeat : FREE and with the lot of Feedbacks they receive, the game will be more balanced and the bugs will be no more, with the help of the community. To end : You are a Noob (and it's not an offense, once we were it too) ? You don't have Skills ? You can't drive vehicles since they also need skills ? You don't like vehicle based games ? You can't Hit ? Well, this game IS NOT for you, so better jump in a moar easy game ppl =)

To be honest, I was actually quite disappointed with the game when I got it the other day. Decided to play online and to my dismay, most of the servers are dead. The game is poorly optimized and the textures are kinda bad in my opinion though the maps were nicely done. There's no option to play with bots or create a private server which is kind of a let down for me.
Ravaged does not have what a decent shooter should haveCrazy4ever | May 28, 2013 | See all Crazy4ever's reviews »
Raveged does not have all the things a decent shooter needs to become a good game. The graphics are fine, and the idea is a good idea. Still, all games have an idea, they just have to be excecuted correctly. Ravaged has not been executed in a satisfying way as the gameplay gets boring after a short while. The controls also feel unpolished and simple, quite similar to the kind of controls you find in a free2play game. Still, as mentioned, the idea is good so its fun for a while, it just feels so unpolished that it won't keep you entertained for long. Anyhow, on offer Ravaged could be a decent buy if you think the consept seems interesting.
Fun game with a poor executiontusccar | May 6, 2013 | See all tusccar's reviews »
This game is entertaining and is somewhat worth the cheap price. The only issue with the multiplayer game is that, well, youre lucky if you can actually play multiplayer. Normally the servers are deserted and few people can be found to play with.
The combat of the game is fun and unique and the vehicles are very enjoyable. This would have been a great game, but unfortunately it has many bugs, and fails to deliver what it is promising. The communtiy is non existent leaving you stranded in a map alone. Maybe one or two people will drift into your game, but I think this could be money well spent elsewhere
Could be better...Lekes | Feb. 7, 2013 | See all Lekes's reviews »
It looks like RAGE meets a scaled-down Battlefield 2, and plays somewhat similarly with exaggerated driving, a neat post-apoc setting, but poor infantry gunplay and overpowered helicopters. The leveling system is rather flat, points aren't very clearly earned or rewarding, the classes are only okay, weapons and animations don't tickle my gun fetish, and the occasional technical glitch might get you into trouble. That said, it looks good, runs smoothly, and adds up to an unrefined game, which would be acceptable for beta, but counts against this non-F2P release.

The Ravaged action takes place in a post-apocalyptic scenario, in which the company has been cleared, the city devastated by some kind of disaster and the survivors will compete in two factions for control of the remaining resources. Both groups had access to weapons and vehicles in abundance, and once in a match we can choose not only the team of belonging but also select your character in five different classes. The maps provided by Ravaged show us scenarios actually fascinating and charming in their ruinous destruction, there is a good variety and good design, with some very interesting solutions. Ravaged stands as a multiplayer experience interesting and full of great potential. The approach decided by the developers, with very large maps and encourages the use of vehicles to collaborate with other members of the team, patrolling areas in a jeep with a machine gun to prevent the enemy comes close to seats that we won. Unfortunately, the gunplay "walk" is not so funny.

To little playerbase for it to work properly, but it has alot of potential, especially with more players and more maps and so forth added to it. The graphics are ok but nothing special.
If your willing to spend a few bucks to play it though you can. Have fun!

I supported this game very early in development. The emphasis on multiplayer is fantastic and the style was promised to be unique. They didn't manage to really pull through on their promises, however.
Ravaged's gameplay is solid. It's not amazing, nor terrible. The style is bland and bleak, think RAGE without as much polish.
The multiplayer is dead. This defeats the entire purpose of the game. Maybe if it drops way down in price, or becomes free, it will see a surge of players, but for now it's completely inactive. That being said, I have no way of recommending this game, no matter how good it may be.
Needs lots of Work but still Fun.fable2 | Nov. 21, 2012 | See all fable2's reviews »
When developing Ravaged, 2 Dawn Games promised to make fun the top priority, a feat they claimed would be more easily accomplished without publishers forcing restrictions on their every decision. Of course, choosing to create a multiplayer FPS meant they would have their work cut out for them, as they would be going head-to-head with some of the most popular franchises in gaming. To succeed, 2 Dawn would need to make a game that's not only fun, but also unique enough to draw gamers away from the Call of Duty and Battlefields of the world. That's asking quite a lot for an independently developed game in an over-saturated genre, but 2 Dawn comes through on their promise despite some problems.
The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world in which two factions, the Scavengers and the Resistance, battle it out for the world's scarce resources. The maps are massive, very similar in scale to Battlefield 2, which some of 2 Dawn's developers worked on. Some of the maps have a lot of open space to allow for wide-scale vehicle combat, while others have more cover and choke-points for fighting on foot.... Anyone who has ever enjoyed playing Battlefield 1942 Desert Combat should heavily consider looking at this game. Much of what made Desert Combat great is at the core of this game as well.
That is because the same guys behind Desert Combat too created Ravaged and the hardcore helicopter controls show for it.
This is no Call of Duty. This game closer resembles the large scale vehicle/infantry combat style of the earlier versions of the Battlefield series. The game has a nice balance between being an arcade shooter while at the same time requiring raw skill in order to be the most effective in the game. Practically the only thing semi realistic about this game are the advanced helicopter controls which ROCK!
Average with low playerbase.DukePaul | Nov. 20, 2012 | See all DukePaul's reviews »
This game has good things, the world is like a mix of Fallout and Rage, the vehicles are awesome and the maps designed for them are great but everything else looks pretty generic and dull, It doesn't offer anything new and this means that a small number of maps without vehicles are absolutely pointless.
Another bad thing is the population for this game is so low that you will have problems to find a game.
Maybe with a sale this game can be good again if the playerbase grows and the developers add more content to make Ravaged a different experience from other games.
