This is a really fun game. However, I would mostly recommend this for nostalgia purposes.
If you get the chance to play this at an arcade, do it. It's so much more fun at arcades. But it's still a great video game for home use and you'll definitely enjoy driving around town jumping around and driving under the sea, and ducking trucks and getting lost in the car park.

Hey hey hey it's Crazzyyyyyy Taxi!!! A great game to pass the time, this compilation that is for sale on STEAM not own the original songs from DREAMCAST version, but the game is all there! Run like crazy to get their passengers to their destination on time and do some crazy moves in traffic to get an extra tip. The game itself is not very long, are actually only a few missions, but the game is fun to play in ARCADE mode or against the clock, pick up your passengers and "RUN FORREST, RUN"

i grew up playing this on the arcade and i found when i switched to playing with a controller it just wasn't the same. the game is fantastic and runs really smooth for a port. the soundtrack is fantastic and the gameplay is solidly addicting. my only issue is that i don't have a good wheel to play it with... you really need some good force feedback if you want to really play this game right.
in any case, very much worth the money, even though is an older game, it is still an arcade classic.

A healthy bit of nostalgia here. Play as a punk rocker who has been given a job they never should have applied for. Escort people to their destination as quickly as possible; ignore road signs, traffic, pedestrians, and roads. Just make sure they arrive on time. A great soundtrack was probably what made this game enjoyable more than anything, the right music for the style of game. Good for a few quick games here and there when you are feeling crazy..

Crazy taxi, The game where you have the role of a taxi driver who must get as many customers to their destination as possible. This game is extremely arcade-y, the way the game works, the way the cars handle and crash into things, and the time limit. The game is extremely fun and frantic as you try to make as much money as possible. The game has a good difficulty to it also. The game gives you different customers that you can pick up with different difficulties which makes you different amounts of money. This however can also become aggravating as you miss a harder customer's time limit by mere seconds, but even then it is still fun even if you don't make it.
Definitely get this game!
One of the Most Addicting Games of All Timethegaminglyfe | June 18, 2013 | See all thegaminglyfe's reviews »
Crazy Taxi is one of the most addicting and challenging games of all time. The concept is simple, pick up customers and drive around the city to get them to their destination while fulfilling their wishes. If they want you to swerve around cars while going at high speeds, then you do that for more cash. If someone asks you to go slow, you can do what they say and have fun or drive fast and listen to them complain but lose some cash. There are lots of challenges and mini games that are so much fun to do. You will spend hours doing the challenges, not even the crazy taxi part. The graphics are nice, especially for the age of the game, the sound works perfectly with the style of the game and the controls are easy to get used to. Crazy Taxi is one of the most affordable games out there considering the hours you will put in. Highly recommended to any gamer if you can stand racer games.
Very fun, but the soundtrack will be missed.rossa14 | June 2, 2013 | See all rossa14's reviews »
Crazy Taxi is one of those games which seems simple on paper, yet can provide endless fun if in the right mood. You take the role of a taxi driver, pick up random and sometimes weird passengers, and then deliver them around the city with crazy car physics helping you get there in hilarious style. All that remains here from the original, and even today it can still provide a lot of fun, which shows how well it has stood the test of time; even without The Offspring in the background.
The lack of the original soundtrack is something that will be missed, but it is still a great game. Recommended.

The crazier the drive, the bigger is the tip. It never gets old.It never gets boring. You just start and play it till you find out that it's time to eat or even worse...to sleep . Every minute in the game is an hour IRL and thats is enough to see how good is the game.

If you've played the original Crazy Taxi for the Dreamcast, you'll know what to expect here. Though you should be aware the soundtrack has been changed and the product placement has been removed. While neither may sound like an intrinsically game-changing issue, they really do make the game feel wrong, somehow. Regardless, the gameplay is just as solid as you remember it, so if you can survive without the offspring playing while you drive from building to building, it's still a great experience.
Arcade Classic on SteamAkaRai | Jan. 5, 2013 | See all AkaRai's reviews »
I'd definitely say it's better with a controller, but if you enjoyed it on the Dreamcast or in the arcade, then this faithful port will appeal to you.
For the few who haven't heard of this game, Crazy Taxi has you pick a driver, and blast through the streets of San Francisco listening to Offspring trying to get passengers to their destination in as timely a fashion as possible, traffic, roads and pedestrians be damned.
There's not much in the way of a story or progression here, though there is a challenge mode to give you something more to play with, but it was originally an arcade game. For what it offers, it's fantastic. Gameplay is fast, frantic and fun, and your taxi controls well. If you're not a fan of Offspring the soundtrack may irritate you, but being a big fan that was part of what made me enjoy this game so much.

Crazy Taxi is one of classic games from SEGA Dreamcast as Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Shenmue 1 and 2, Jet Set Radio and a lot of others. The game must be played. The game doesn't have a story of something like that. The proposal is very simple: be a taxist and do the runs in a specific time. The game is basically an attack the time game, but as a taxist. But it is not easy. Sometimes you will need to go to a far place and the time does not help you to much or you will need to go to difficult places to go without waste some time. These are the challenges that Crazy Taxi will offer you. It is really a race game as the others but with a different proposal. It is good to play something like that instead of playing other very good classic race games as Le Mans from Dreamcast, for example. I only can really recommend this game. It is a classic from a classic videogame.

What is the logic of make a game about taxi. What is interesting in being a taxist? These are strange questions for sure. All I can say is that is just for fun. The game is not consequential or something like that. It was made only for our fun. You will basically drive to go to some places taking the passengers and let them where they want. But it is a difficult task because we need to do this within the time limit. So, it is really difficult. But the tense times combines with the fun times. This game is a part of classics that are offered by SEGA from Dreamcast as Sonic Adventure, Space Channel 5: Part 2, Jet Set Radio and others. I think that who played the game some time ago will be pleased to play again and who never had the chance to play will be satisfied to see what is the best from Dreamcast!

I don't quite understand why the Dreamcast failed with all these great games. I understand the business reasons, but this is an amazing game. You pick up customers in your taxi and drive them to their destinations. The music is top notch and you can play it for hours. If you love games with driving at all, get this, it's one of the best on the PC.

Crazy Taxi is one of the best driving games and his concept is not about races.
You have a taxi, take customers, drive until their destinations and get the cash!, easy right?
Well no, because you need to be fast! avoiding all the vehicles in your way, taking shortcuts, above bridges or underwater, the choice is yours because if you are fast the customers will pay you more!, sometimes you will have four customers in your taxi.
Also the soundtracks are awesome, they give you adrenaline and a wild spirit that match with the game, you will play this a lot of time only to listen the great music.
For this price, Crazy Taxi is a must on your collection.

I used to spend hours and hours playing crazy taxi and it still holds up. I love this game. If you used to be a fan you won't be disappointed. If you've never played it you should download it now. At the time of this posting it is less than $5.
