Reviews for Max Payne 3: Deathmatch Made in Heaven Pack

A step in the right direction

Max Payne 3 on PC is a strange phenomenon. It keeps getting DLC, in the form of multiplayer add-on content, yet its multiplayer player base rarely exceeds 100 strong (during peak hours). This left players clamoring for single-player content, which Rockstar never delivered... until now... sort of. Deathmatch Made in Heaven adds a new co-op horde mode, where 2 players take control of either Max or Passos and fight hordes of enemies. This is a great addition, due to the fact that competitive multiplayer is a wasteland in this game. You will have a hard time finding someone with this DLC on PC, but if you have a friend with it you will have a blast. It's really a great mode. This DLC also adds more competitive multiplayer modes, which I haven't gotten to test because I could not find any players to play with. If this is truly the last of Max Payne 3's DLC, I'm somewhat disappointed. It took them nearly a year to release the first DECENT pack and it could only go up from here. It's a shame, really.

Useless map pack

Max Payne 3: Deathmatch Made in Heaven Pack expands the multiplayer of this game with new maps and game mode. The additional content is not bad, but now it doesn't make sense to spend more money on Max Payne 3 multiplayer because there are not many players at the moment. Max Payne 3 is mainly a singleplayer game, the multiplayer is good but it can't be compared to the one of games like Call of Duty Blacks Ops 2 that came out this winter

Best Max Payne 3 DLC yet!

For the same price as the other DLC, this one offers significantly more. This one finally offers a Coop mode for MP3!! You and a friend (can be randomly matched with a stranger if you wish) fight against waves of bots. Functions like a hybrid of GoW Horde Mode and CoD Zombie Mode, you kill enemies, earn points and unlock more areas for you to take cover in. The other modes are also very entertaining. Run and Stun is essentially like a zombie mode, one player has a stun gun and must melee other players to infect them. Time Attack is essentially FFA but with a combo multiplier attached to a timer. Marked Man is also FFA but you get to assign Vendetta when killed by a player once, and you get more points for settling your vendetta or denying others vendetta in addition to normal kills. Checkpoint Challenge is a little addition added to Arcade Mode where you can replay sections of the campaign if you find multiplayer too hard. Scores you get goes towards unlock in multiplayer. If you're gonna get ONE DLC for Max Payne 3, let it be this one.

Awesome pack, really adds to Max Payne 3's already great multiplayer, and for an equally awesome price. I love the Run and stun mode, really funny. Get it!!
