I think the only thing wrong with this expansion is that it is an expansion.
It feels like it should have been apart of the base game because it adds so much to the environment of the game. Who knows, maybe we'll get that in the sims 4! But for now, this is a solid expansion, it adds a new way of seeing the game. You won't get new careers or locations, but you will get to build snowmen, enjoy costume parties, kiss a sim at the kissing booth, jump in puddles, tan in the sun and go for a swim, and thats just the beginning! I wouldn't buy it at full price, but this is an expansion that will add something to any world.
A subtle expansion that highlights immersion.actionjohnson | Feb. 6, 2013 | See all actionjohnson's reviews »
Sims 3 Seasons isn't so much an expansion to Sims 3 as it is a makeover to the feel and mood of the game. While it does not add any drastic changes to the Sims 3 formula, no new careers or cities, what it does is compliment everything Sims 3 already did making it much more immersive and fun. As said in it's title, seasons are added, this can mean summer heat waves, rain, or snow storms. All of these present new and unique opportunities for your sims to engage in. For example, on a snowy day you will see your sims eyes light up as they look out the window and see the first flakes of snow fall, and then can have all kinds of fun outside playing in it. Sims 3 Seasons won't shake the sims world, but it does make it much more enchanting and fun.
