This game travels way too far down the threshold of simulation. It gets real bland and the motivation to continue this game is not that strong. I suggest farming in real life. It will provide you with way more than this game can.

While Old Village Sim may hold some entertaiment value due to its oddity, Farming simulator works better... somewhat... you still have to put up with some quirks and strange events, but it is much more polished overall. Also you can install free Farming Classics DLC, which contains dozens of old tractors and tools and simulate the feel of old times just fine.

This game is a bit of a laugh; it doesn't take itself too seriously and is good fun. It's not the best game you'll ever play but for the money its worth the banter it provides!

In a weird and silly mood I decided to purchase a weird game. Farming games were subpar; their strangeness factor had been decreasing in weirdness. Then I stumbled on old village simulator. It took the silly to a whole new level and I decided to purchase it.
Old village simulator sadly does not live up to its name. It feels a lot like farming simulator 2013, even though there should be a gap of a few decades. Gameplay entails alot of the same activities such as harvesting, seeding and mowing grass.
If you're looking for a farming sim, go for Farming Simulator 2013. If you desperately want to have one with the 1962 aesthetic and feel, go for this one, though it is not recommended.
