Great old-school action.

If you're sick of ADS corridor shooters set in the Middle East, the Painkiller series is a terrific way to get some 90s style action with a bit more of a modern look than you'll get loading up Quake II. The story is silly, the speed is fast, and the gore abounds. In a climate where so many FPS's take themselves extremely seriously, Painkiller is refreshingly simple.

It's not easy to find horror fps where you can have a lot of fun. Painkiller is one of the most oldest horror fps franchises. If you like having fun in fps games, you should give this a try.

The pack comes as individual keys so it's great if you already own some of the games. I have only played the first so far, but it's a fun game. It doesn't have the best story but it isn't really meant to, it's a game in the same vein as Serious Sam where it's fast paced and fun shooting.

Not scary, but loads of fun to blow through monsters

The story in these games are pretty cheesy, hitman from heaven, kill these monsters but it is a lot of fun. There aren't many weapons but each one is fun to use and destroy monsters with and you will find fun new ways to use each gun in new creative ways to kill your enemies. You will need to stay on your feet the whole series watching your back for enemies and surprises. The sound is great to listen to and works well while fighting enemies. The games do get repetitive over after a while but each game has it's own advantages and disadvantages and feels like a new game instead of a bad sequel. The graphics are different in each game but the graphics work with the atmosphere and mood of the game.
