- Beautiful graphics (limited to 1600x900, which is a big letdown)
- Good controls
- Cool boss fights
Not much fun if you play it solo (haven't tried co-op as there were no games available)
- Enemy variety
- Short (about 4-4,5 hours)

With most 2d brawlers the games end up getting boring fast but i find Sacred Citadel trying to keep things fresh through out the game. You have a choice of four characters to pick from, me and a friend only played with the two males a warrior and a ranger. Their attacks wasn't carbon copy's of each others which led us being strategic in boss fights with the warriors strong attacks and the rangers long attacks.
Over all i think the game can be a bit repetitive but the leveling and combos keep it fun and interesting.

If you like Castle Crashers, this game plays very similar to it. However, Sacred Citadel has a much deeper combat system that can be upgraded as well as satisfying combos and attacks that you can pull off.
This is a nice spinoff which can be a nice starting point for newcomers to be introduced to the Sacred franchise. Hopefully Sacred 3 can deliver an even better experience when it comes out mostly by the end of this year.
Pick up Sacred Citadel for yourself and a couple of buddies, it's fun arcade action.

In a point somewhere between the masterpiece D&D: Tower of Doom and the nightmarish Double Dragon 2: Wander of the Dragons is where we could situate this Sacred Citadel, a spin off that will be preparing the way for its older brother Sacred 3. Visually vibrant and colourful in a comic-esque style, it's a shame that its walkthrough seems like a rollercoaster, with great, funny playable action parts and others boring or insanely harder. Give it a try if King of Dragons means something for you. Definitely get it if you planned to play it in coop with a couple of friends, the greatest element of the whole game and its reason to be

The Sacred franchise, sadly, is gone down. The first Sacred with the Underworld expansion was a great and deep game, otherwise Sacred 2 was not a good title. This Sacred Citadel is the new chapter of the franchise, and is a cooperative beat'em up. The graphic style is pretty good and full of colors, and you can play with other three friends, smashing and destroying all! It's a very fun game, even if you don't know anything about Sacred, just play Citadel to have a really good experience.
