Reviews for Talisman: Prologue Premium Edition
No multiplayer?mahon | July 24, 2013 | See all mahon's reviews »
While I have always been a big fan of the Talisman game, having played it countless times with many gaming friends, the thing is that what makes the boardgame shine is its multiplayer, social aspect.
Now what you get here is an accurate (well, even improved and expanded) recreation of the boardgame but it doesn't include... guess what? any multiplayer mode. No multiplayer, no bots, so it's just you and the game.
Not quite what I've been looking for. Just because Talisman has always been a game that shines when played with others (actually not even meant to be played solo), the game misses its mark a bit for me.
It's accurate, it's faithful to the original, it looks and plays well, but without being able to play with others (online multiplayer would be an excellent addition) it's merely slightly over average until the expansion is released.
